Anyway, thanks for your company - ta-ra.
What a breathless, brutal game of association football that was. United found plenty when they needed it, and might that be a turning point for their manager ands their season?
Full-time: Manchester United 3-2 Atalanta!
Cavani leaps with Malinovskyi and heads him; he's booked, as Matic was a moment ago for timewasting. Atalanta have one last go to stick it into the box ... but United get it away, just.
Bruno Fernandes has had a strange game tonight. He was really poor in the first half, but only because his final pass was poor. His ability and mentality to keep trying things is a big reason his team are now leading.
United might've been whacked by a better team because of their first-half defending, but when they get the attacking right, they're a brutal side to face.
Ronaldo dances over the ball near halfway and makes sure to fall over when De Roon unloads him. Free-kick United, and that's a good 30 seconds wasted.
There'll be four added minutes.
Ronaldo has now scored 137 Champions League goals.
Sustained pressure from Atalanta, balls pumped into the box, but Palomino, turning up on the right win, can't get feet around the ball and it goes out for a goalkick.
...and they'll have to do it without Fred, who's done a hammy I think. He's replaced by Matic, who heads the corner behind.
United are good at defending corners...
Maehle, chased by Cavani, forces the ball against him and wins a corner; Atalanta are not done, not be a long chalk.
Solskjaer has timed his changes well tonight, opting not to disturb his team when it had momentum, then refreshing it when that died down,
United have deserved that. They hung in there when they might have folded.
GOAL! Manchester United 3-2 Atalanta (Ronaldo) THIS IS INCREDIBLE! The corner goes short, and when it's cleared, United recycle possession well, then Shaw curls in a sensational cross and you know the rest! Ronaldo leaps, arches, flexes and punishes a devastating header into the bottom corner!
Ronaldo punishes the free=-kick ad it's looking good ... but Palomino heads it behind! Ouch!
Now here come United, picking their way through Atalanta with Fernandes diving inside Palomino and firing a shot that Musso saves; he's then clattered by the same defender, who's booked.
As i was saying, United are lax at the back and Koopmeiners leathers over the bar.
United have rallied really well here. I said during the first half that they played ok but were careless in both boxes; in the second, they've kept at it but upped the intensity. That said, I'd not be surprised at all were Atalanta to pinch it.
