Jannk Sinner beat two-time defending champion Carlos Alcaraz 4-6 6-4 6-4 6-4 on Centre Court to lift his fourth Grand Slam title.

The Italian praises Alcaraz and says they have an amazing relationship on and off the court and the fact they can play such good tennis is due to having the best teams in the world behind them.

He says Alcaraz will hold the winner's trophy again - and jokes that he already has two anyway!

He adds that it is 'so special' seeing his parents, his brother and his team here - but especially his brother who is only there because he would be at an F1 race if there was one on this weekend!

He says he is living his dream and that he feels emotional because he came off the back of a tough loss in Paris (to Alcaraz). He says they just needed to work on understanding what went wrong, accept it and keep working and that's why he is holding the trophy today.

"It’s difficult to lose, even if it’s in the final.

"I have to congratulate Jannik again. It's a really well deserved trophy and an unbelievable two weeks in London, playing great tennis."

He adds that he is really happy for Jannik and salutes his amazing team of people and family around him.

The Spaniard says he is happy with his season so far after struggling a bit at the start of the year.

He adds: "Wimbledon is one of the most beautiful tournaments, if not the most beautiful tournament that we have on tour."

He also thanks the King of Spain for coming to SW19 to support him.

The Italian lands his maiden SW19 title and dethrones two-time winner Carlos Alcaraz in another, high-quality showdown.

The World No.1 was heartbroken after blowing three match points against the Spaniard in the French Open final last month, but he avenges that loss here to clinch his fourth Grand Slam and his first away from a hard court.

Sinner serves out to 15 on his second match point to seal victory in three hours and five minutes and end a five-match losing run against the world number two (now 5-8 in the H2H).

Alcaraz’s bid for the Three-peat comes up just short as he tastes defeat in a major final for the first time.

Sinner drills a huge backhand down the line to try and engineer an opportunity on the Alcaraz serve.

The world number one crushes a couple of forehands and an angled volley to make 30-30 and really turn the screw.

Alcaraz comes up trumps on serve and then poses the serve-out question with a stun volley.

Sinner jumps into a crosscourt backhand in the forecourt to finally finish a point he could have won three times over.

The Italian is clearly edgy and shanks a wild forehand off court to open the door slightly for Carlitos at 15-30.

Alcaraz barges closer with a deep, deep backhand forcing an error to tee up two break points.

Sinner staves off one with a clutch, wide serve and survives a wonderful rally when the second seed flashes a forehand beyond the baseline.

The world number one jumps into another backhand to force the error into the net and earn game point, which he converts with a gutsy, big second serve.

Jannik is now one game away from the title.

Carlitos may cut a forlorn figure right now but he offers a reminder that he could yet spring into action with a punchy forehand down the line.

Sinner gets a short ball at 30-30 but redirects the forehand up the line into the net.

Alcaraz takes full advantage of the reprieve by gliding in to guide away a lovely serve and volley tactic and remain in the hunt.

Alcaraz zaps a bewitching forehand winner down the line and resets at the start of Set 4 with a clutch first serve sealing the hold to 15.

Jannik proceeds to double fault to pique Alcaraz’s interest at 15-15 but nails an ace down the T to get back on track.

An exceptional overhead tees up two set points another fantastic first serve seals the deal on the first of them.

From one set down, to 2-1 in front; Jannik is one away from the Wimbledon title.

Alcaraz lands clutch serves playing catch-up to another key juncture at 30-30 after a drop-shot fail and an overhead had helped Jannik make early inroads.

The top seed follows up a stonking return with a forehand down the line to conjure up break point and then converts as he darts forward off another blockbuster down the line to knock away the volley.

Alcaraz slipped trying to defend on that final point but is physically fine and will now need to break straight back if he's to avoid falling two-sets-to-one down.

Sinner licks the far edge of the line as he chases down a dropper and sizzles away a crosscourt forehand winner.

Alcaraz deploys the same tactic and delivers a sumptuous lob to up the ante at 30-30.
