The winners of tie to be held in Poertschach, southern Austria, will be promoted to the elite 16-nation World Group for the 2005 men's team competition, with the losers relegated to the zonal qualification group.

Jurgen Melzer, who recently reached the quarter-finals of the Hamburg Masters, and Stefan Koubek will lead the Austiran team, while Britain will rely on Tim Henman and Greg Rusedski.
