Roebuck and then George are dragged down metres from the try-line. The ball is recycled again with Dingwall attracting the tackle and Roebuck charging over.
Ford adds the extras and the Red Rose are out of sight.

Nothing seems to be going the way of the Dragons this evening. This time Adams drops the ball under pressure. The resulting scrum is won by England who kick deep into their opposition’s 22.

COSTLY PENALTY COUNT
Wales conceded 10 penalties in that first half against England’s six. Most of the Red Rose infringements came in the last 10 minutes of the first half and they came away unscathed.
However, the Dragons were punished for their high penalty count with two yellow cards and conceded four tries in the opening 40 minutes.

It’s a first half hat-trick from Arundell. England are gifted a fourth try of the afternoon. A Thomas pass goes loose resulting in the Red Rose picking up the loose ball with Dingwall finding Arundell who flies over the whitewash.

Genge is punished for failing to retreat quickly and the Dragons are starting to build momentum. However, the visitors line-out is over-throw and the Red Rose are let off again.

This has been a real problem for Wales in this first half. The Dragons’ infringe in England’s 22-metre zone from a scrum and come away without a reward.

The visitors have spent their two yellow cards and England take the opportunity to have a breather at the scum after a manic start to this game.

England are rampant against the 13 men of Wales. Freeman carries the ball forward before the ball is played across the pitch for Earl out wide. Ford makes a difficult kick out wide to add the extras.

Lake is guilty of another unforced Wales error and the Red Rose have another opportunity. From the scrum the ball is played along the line.
However, Freeman’s decisive pass is behind Roebuck and the chance is gone. The Red Rose come back but Genge is held-up in the red zone.

Lake is now shown a yellow card, following another infringement as the Red Rose drove for the try-line. Lake had George by the neck as he tried to ground the ball.

SMITH SHOWN YELLOW FOR WALES
The Wales penalty count is high and Lake is warned that a yellow card is coming their way. Moments later Wales concede another penalty and the referee shows Smith yellow for an early drive.

REES-ZAMMIT DEALS WITH SPIRAL KICK
Not deterred by that penalty decision the Red Rose are on the front foot. A spiralled kick puts Rees-Zammit under pressure five metres out. However, the Wales full-back deals with the pressure.

GENGE TEMPER COSTS RED ROSE POINTS
England turn the ball over and counter-ruck with numbers left over. However, Red Rose fail to release quickly and Thomas infringes with an off-side tackle.
TMO spots a clash of heads between Genge and Mann resulting in Wales being given a penalty, just as Ford was about to kick for the posts.
