Danny Care praises 'ruthless' England after Wales rout in Six Nations finale - 'Everything everyone wanted them to be'

England ended the Six Nations on a high with an emphatic victory over beleaguered Wales in Cardiff. And Danny Care was impressed with Steve Borthwick's side throughout the tournament, despite the disappointment of narrowly missing out on the championship to France. England's only defeat of the tournament came in their opening match against Ireland in Dublin.

Danny Care heaped praise on England's Six Nations performance after a 68-14 thrashing of Wales in the final match of the tournament at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff.
Steve Borthwick's side finished second in the final standings, one point behind champions France, after a run of four straight wins following an opening-day defeat to Ireland.
And Care highlighted the dismantling of Wales as further evidence of England's impressive progress.
"I think we all thought France would do a job in the end and lift the trophy, but I don't think anyone would have called what happened in Cardiff," he said on TNT Sports's coverage of the Premiership Rugby Cup final.
"I was there in the stadium and there was a genuine tension and nervousness around England fans before going into that game, and we didn't need to be nervous at all - England absolutely dominated.
"England were brilliant, they were ruthless, they were everything everyone wanted to see more of from this England squad: putting teams to the sword, scoring tries, playing attacking, powerful rugby.

"The opposite end of the spectrum is Wales - they are in a hole, and they need digging out very quickly."
Wales had the ignominy of the Wooden Spoon after the England defeat, finishing bottom of the table on just three points.
While there was disappointment in Cardiff, the scenes in Paris were of jubilation as Les Bleus secured the title with a 35-16 victory over Scotland.
And former England forward Ben Kay reserved praise for the champions, who only missed out on a Grand Slam because of their narrow 26-25 loss at the Allianz Stadium last month.
"How they [France] must rue that first-half performance against England because that game could've been out of sight," Kay said. "It could've changed the whole complexion of the championship.
"It just shows how minor things can change the whole outlook of a team's performance.
"France, unbelievably superb and the fact they were able to back that up without their talisman - we all wondered, if France haven't got (Antoine) Dupont, how do they play? They were brilliant."
