HEROLA POWERS INTO THE LEAD FOR FINLAND
A monster climb from Ilkka Herola ahead of the final exchange distances Austria, who now trail by eight seconds.
So, it's Finland's Eero Hirvonen and Norway's Jens Luraas Oftebro battling for the gold medal, while Austria's Johannes Lamparter battles behind.
Oftebro, we should add, is targeting his third gold medal of the Games.

GERMANY AND JAPAN FADE AWAY
And it's now a three-horse race with Norway still edging Finland with Austria hot in pursuit on the penultimate lap. But Germany are 24 seconds back now, Italy 36 seconds and Japan 43 seconds.

FIVE TEAMS GOING FOR THREE MEDALS
They have reached the seventh exchange after 10.5km and it's Norway's Jens Luraas Oftebro in the lead in this team sprint, which he is skiing with Andreas Skoglund.
The gaps are very small, though, with Austria, Finland, Germany and Japan all within two seconds, and Italy 24 seconds back.
Remember, each athlete does five of the 1.5km laps in this 15km race.

VICTORY FOR CARDONA COLL
It's not a good start for Anselmet, who is rooted to the back and playing catch up ahead of the first transition. Cordona Coll strides up the stairs in pole, with Lietha and Filippov hot in pursuit.
Spain's Cardona Coll is then first to whip off his skins ahead of the downhill - and the gold medal will surely be his.
A quick look over his shoulder before the world champion punches the air ahead of the line. He makes history for Spain and takes the inaugural men's gold medal in ski mountaineering.

HARROP ‘A LITTLE DISAPPOINTED’ WITH SILVER
Speaking to France TV after missing out on the gold medal, ski mountaineering favourite Emily Harrop said:
Of course, I’m a little disappointed. A medal at our first Games is incredible, but I was aiming for a different colour. Marianne [Fatton] was really solid; I made a few small mistakes. A slight lapse in concentration cost me that extra second.

HARROP BEATEN TO GOLD BY FATTON!
Harrop is first into the transition ahead of the steps, but Marianne Fatton of Switzerland is right there.
Now Fatton takes the lead onto the second transition! The Swiss starts the ski - and nothing will catch her now...
Victory for Marianne Fatton of Switzerland, who takes the gold medal to deny Emily Harrop - just as she did in the world championships.

ANSEMET PROGRESSES AS LIETHA WINS SECOND SEMI
Ot Lietha of Switzerland and Ot Ferrer Martinez of Spain set the tempo on the uphill in the second semi-final, arriving at the stair transition with Bikita Filippov (AIN) and Maximilien Drion du Chapois of Belgian right on their heels.
And it's Lietha who takes the victory ahead of Filippov as both book their spots in the final.
Ferrer Martinez is third and - with Anselmet - advances as one of the fastest 'losers'.
