Great defending from Ebrahimi. Ronaldo ran into the left hand channel and looked to be favourite to control a pass. But the Iranian midfielder did so well to shield him and the ball out.

QUERESMA OVER! That was a half chance for the Portuguese winger. There was a bit of zip to the build up play, but Queresma can only lob his finish well over the bar on the stretch.

Ronaldo throws his hands up in fustration. He broke at pace, passing inside to Carvalho. But his poor touch slows down the whole move and allows Iran to get back in numbers.

LONG WAY OUT! Ronaldo gets frustrated at the lack of opportunities and decides to take on a shot from about 25 yards out. It's a decent effort, but the goalkeeper makes the save.

This game is being drowned out by the vuvuzelas of the Iranian support. Honestly, it's deafening. I thought we had left these things behind at the 2010 World Cup? It would seem not.

Portugal started this game well, they had an early chance through Ronaldo and Mario, but they have since faded. They might actually be quite happy with a point from this game.

With 35 minutes played it's still all to play for in Group B. This game is tied at 0-0 and the other game between Morocco and Spain is also tied at 1-1. There's a lot of tension in these two matches.

IRAN HEADER! Decent effort from Ezatolahi, who glances a header towards goal from a freekick delivery into the box. But it was straight at Patricio who can make the simple save.

Iran have grown in confidence as this half has progressed, especially on the rapid counter attack. This time they have a chance from a freekick. They must make the most of this.

Guerreiro is shown a yellow card for a late, lunging tackle on Jahanbakhsh!

CLASH OF HEADS! Both Azmoun and Fonte are going to need a moment here to gather themselves after clashing heads as they challenged for the same ball from a corner.

Portugal are a reactive team. They thrive when they are the ones who can sit deep and then strike out on the rapid counter attack. Iran aren't allowing them to do that here.

The problem for Portugal is that there is very little space in behind the Iran defence for them to exploit. It means they are knocking the ball around midfield with no real cutting edge.

Portugal have been on top, they have controlled the majority of the game, but they have only mustered one shot on target and that was from Ronaldo very early on in the match.

Patricio is down receiving some treatment after a clash with an Iranian player. He took a boot to the top of the heat and the Portugal medical staff are tending to the goalkeeper.

REZAEIAN OVER! Iran win a freekick about 25 yards out form goal. Rezaeian was given the big build up, but he curls the effort over the target. Patricio was worried about that.
