PENALTY APPEAL! Losada makes another run behind Borges, the ball appeared to hit the defender's arm but the referee's assistant did not see it.

It was a fine touch from the former Arsenal player to control the ball with her left foot and then finish the chance off.

GOAL FOR SPAIN! Losada does well to control a diagonal ball in the box and slots the ball into the net with her right foot.

CHANCE! Caldentey lays the ball off to Meseguer who has space on the edge of the box and fires in a shot which is well saved by Morais.

The other game in this group takes place tonight, group favourites England take on Scotland.

Portugal will be satisfied that they have restricted their opponents to one real chance. Morais has also commanded her area well.

Hermoso scored 35 goals for Barcelona last season and has been prolific for Spain. You would have expected her to find the net from that distance.

WHAT A CHANCE! Hermoso fires over from six yards out after some pinball in the area, she was leaning back as she struck the ball but really should have scored!

Portugal mount a rare attack down the right, Leite does well to trade passes and aims a ball towards Marques but Spain clear.

Striker Neto is lurking around her own half, Portugal are certainly adopting a defensive approach for their first tournament game and are looking to catch Spain on the break.

Barcelona playmaker Ouahabi is seeing plenty of the ball. She fires in a cross into the box but Morais gathers.

Spain have a corner after Sampedro's cross is blocked, she had claimed it was handball. The ball is swung in, Morais punches it clear and an off-side flag is raised as the ball is put back into the box.

Spain are enjoying most of the ball, looking for the long ball for Hermoso to chase. Portugal are camped around their own box.

Portugal can take heart from minnows Austria beating Switzerland and France needing a late penalty to beat Iceland in the tournament.
