Dominic Solanke called up by interim England boss Lee Carsley ahead of Nations League fixtures with Greece, Finland

Three goals in three games has persuaded interim England boss Lee Carsley to select Dominic Solanke as a striking option for the Three Lions in their upcoming UEFA Nations League matches against Greece and Finland. The hitman, who joined Spurs in a £65m move from Bournemouth over the summer, could feature for his country for the first time since 2017.

Tottenham striker Dominic Solanke has been included in the latest England squad for the upcoming UEFA Nations League matches against Greece and Finland.
The 27-year-old has scored three goals in his last three games for Spurs, earning himself a recall to interim boss Lee Carsley's Three Lions squad.
Despite netting 21 times last season for Bournemouth, Solanke missed out on the final squad for Euro 2024 - but did earn a £65m move to north London over the summer.
Solanke’s only other England appearance came as a substitute in a 2017 friendly against Brazil.
Carsley has chosen to leave out Solanke’s Spurs team-mate James Maddison, while Villa star Morgan Rodgers also misses out despite an impressive start to the season.
Harry Maguire has been omitted having lost his place in the Manchester United starting line-up in recent weeks, while West Ham's Jarrod Bowen and Crystal Palace forward Eberechi Eze also failed to get the nod.
Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham is back among those selected having missed the September internationals through injury, while Kyle Walker also earns a recall.
England first face Greece at Wembley on October 10, before taking on Finland at the Helsinki Olympic Stadium on October 13.
The Euro 2024 runners-up currently sit second in League B Group 2, with two wins from two so far.
