Thomas Frank has confirmed that Dominic Solanke will miss Tottenham's UEFA Champions League clash with Bodo/Glimt on Tuesday, live on TNT Sports and discovery+.
The striker, who has not played since the victory over Manchester City in August, has undergone surgery to tackle an ankle problem, while Mathys Tel is ineligible, having not been registered in Tottenham’s Champions League squad.
"Dom has got that ankle issue that’s been bothering him for a little while, so now it’s time to make a minor surgery," Spurs boss Frank said.
"It’s a small procedure, so that means he’s not ready for [tomorrow]. We will have more news about time-frames after the international break but I don’t expect it to be long."
However, Frank was more upbeat about the condition of Randal Kolo Muani and defender Cristian Romero.
He added: "Randal Kolo Muani - we're on top of his dead leg so that's good - and Cuti [missed training] was just a precaution."

Spurs - who qualified for the Champions League by winning the UEFA Europa League - earned a 1-0 victory over La Liga side Villarreal on their return to Europe's top competition.
Bodo captain Ulrik Saltnes, who scored against Tottenham in last season's Europa League semi-final, is set to miss the clash for the hosts through illness.

Caicedo, Pedro, Santos to be assessed

Moises Caicedo, Joao Pedro and Andrey Santos will be assessed ahead of Chelsea's meeting with Benfica on Tuesday - also live on TNT Sports and discovery+.
Cole Palmer will miss the game with a groin injury that will keep him sidelined until mid-October, while the match will also come too soon for Tosin Adarabioyo and Wesley Fofana.
"We need to maintain our level because the Champions League requires a high level. In this moment we have many players out with injury," said Blues boss Enzo Maresca.
"This afternoon we are going to assess Caicedo, Joao Pedro and Andrey Santos.
"They are all players, unfortunately for us, with small problems.
"We see if tomorrow they are going to be available. But we have a squad big enough to replace the injuries we have."
Long-term absentees Liam Delap and Levi Colwill remain on the sidelines.
The visitors will be missing Bruma, Alexander Bah and Manu Silva.

Chiesa to miss Galatasaray match

Federico Chiesa is unavailable for Liverpool's clash against Turkish giants Galatasaray.
The Italian forward replaced injured defender Giovanni Leoni in the club's squad list for the league phase, but will not travel to Turkey.
"He got a little niggle I think is the word in the last game against Palace," said manager Arne Slot.
"He tried it but he couldn't end the session, so we decided not to take him because in a few days it is Chelsea."
Hugo Ekitike, who missed the weekend's defeat at Crystal Palace in the Premier League due to suspension, is a part of the 21-man squad.
Galatasaray, who have a fully fit squad, are top of the Turkish Super Lig with a perfect seven wins from seven but lost 5-1 at Eintracht Frankfurt in their opening Champions League match.

Madueke and Hincapie still out for Arsenal

Mikel Arteta believes Martin Odegaard impressed during his return to action against Newcastle, but Piero Hincapie and Noni Madueke are still not fit enough to feature against Olympiacos on Wednesday.
The Gunners captain came off the bench to set up Gabriel Magalhaes’ stoppage-time winner in the Premier League clash at St. James' Park on Saturday, having suffered a shoulder injury against Nottingham Forest earlier in the campaign.
Madueke is out with a knee injury, while Hincapie has hardly featured since arriving at the club.
Arteta revealed that the rest of his squad are all fit enough to feature in their UEFA Champions League league phase clash with Olympiacos.
"He was very good [against Newcastle]," said the Spaniard.
"He came on and immediately you could see the desire and responsibility to try and change the game. His decision-making and the way he approaches every ball - he made a difference to help us win the game."
"No surprise. [Piero] Hincapie and Noni [Madueke] are still out. No news, the rest are all good."
