Sagnol to leave Bayern

"After six years, Bayern and the 28-year-old right back will go their separate ways at the end of the season," Bayern said in a statement. The club had offered a contract extension until 2010.

"It is regrettable, but we must accept it," Bayern coach Felix Magath said.

Sagnol, who arrived from Monaco in 2000, had not lined up another club, Bayern said.

Bayern said AC Milan, Juventus and Barcelona were reportedly all interested in signing Sagnol. Sagnol himself told Bild newspaper he would not reveal his future employers until March at the earliest.
