With Alexander Isak joining Liverpool in a ÂŁ125 million deal, Newcastle United have managed to secure the services of forward Yoane Wissa from Brentford. Wissa becomes Newcastle's second major striker signing, following Nick Woltemade, who signed for a club-record fee from Stuttgart. Wissa joined Brentford in 2021 and scored 19 Premier League goals for the club last season.

Newcastle United have signed striker Yoane Wissa from Brentford as they look to soften the blow of selling Alexander Isak to Liverpool.
The Magpies have already secured one forward replacement by signing Nick Woltemade for a club-record fee from Stuttgart, but Eddie Howe has now added Wissa to his attacking options.
"Yoane is a player who we have admired for some time and we're delighted to have him on board," Howe said in a statement on the club’s website.
"He brings proven Premier League quality, demonstrated not only by his goalscoring output but also the crucial work he does for the team.
"Yoane's style of play will excite our supporters and complement our style of play - he has pace, power and an excellent work rate. He immediately makes us stronger."
Wissa, who joined Brentford in 2021 for French side Lorient, scored 19 Premier League goals last season to establish himself as one of the league's most prolific strikers.
The forward released a statement on Sunday saying he wanted to leave Brentford and accusing the club of "unduly standing" in the way of his move to Tyneside.
But he has now got his wish and secured a move to St James' Park.
"I'm really happy to be here and to sign for one of the biggest clubs in the Premier League," Wissa added.

"I'm very, very excited to put on the black and white shirt. I've got dreams, I've got faith and now I will do my best to make it all happen. I can't wait to get started."
The exit of the soon-to-be 29-year-old is another blow for Brentford, who sold Bryan Mbeumo to Manchester United earlier in the summer and also lost manager Thomas Frank to Tottenham Hotspur.
