Messi has 'clear priority' regarding MLS future
Lionel Messi is poised for an Inter Miami contract extension, according to AS, with the Argentine's current deal set to expire at the end of 2025.
The 2026 World Cup is just months following his current contract expiration and Messi will be hoping to lead defending champions Argentina to back-to-back glory in what will likely be his final major international tournament.
The World Cup takes place in the United States, Canada and Mexico, and according to the report, Messi plans on staying put in South Florida in preparation for the tournament, which rules him out of a return to European football.
"Sources close to the situation have confirmed to AS that talks are already underway to keep Messi in pink and black beyond 2025," the report reads.
"At this stage, there are no serious alternatives on the table - remaining in Miami is the clear priority for both sides."
Messi has represented Miami 63 times since joining from Paris Saint-Germain in 2023 and has scored 50 goals.
Bayern prepare swoop for Woltemade
Bayern Munich are eager to sign German striker Nick Woltemade from Bundesliga rivals Stuttgart, according to sports journalist Fabrizio Romano.
Woltemade scored 17 goals and registered three assists in 33 appearances across all competitions last term.
He is supposedly also attracting attention from the Premier League, but Romano insists that Woltemade only has eyes for Bayern.
"Nick Woltemade deal, set to accelerate as FC Bayern prepare their opening bid for the German striker," wrote Romano on X, formerly Twitter.
"Woltemade’s camp rejected a new direct approach from a Premier League club this week — as he only wants Bayern.
"Five-year contract fully agreed."
Abraham on the brink of Turkey transfer
Tammy Abraham's time in Serie A could be coming to an end, with ESPN reporting that he is on the verge of a move to Turkish side Besiktas.
Abraham has enjoyed an impressive spell with Roma since arriving in the Italian capital in 2021.
However, he now looks set to leave the club permanently after spending last season on loan with AC Milan.
"Tammy Abraham is set to join Besiktas from AS Roma in a deal worth €15 million plus bonuses, sources have told ESPN," read the article.
"A full agreement was reached on Monday in a deal that will see Abraham move to Istanbul on a four-year contract.
"Abraham spent last season on loan at AC Milan, where he made 45 appearances across all competitions and scored 10 goals. Milan decided against making the loan move permanent and opted to return him to Roma."
Duran eyes return to Europe
Florian Plettenberg believes that John Duran is on the verge of completing his loan move to Fenerbahce from Saudi Arabian side Al-Nassr.
Duran only joined Al-Nassr from Premier League club Aston Villa in January after impressing as part of Unai Emery's side.
However, he looks set to be on his way back to Europe after scoring eight goals in 13 Saudi Pro League appearances.
