Newcastle could be dealt another transfer blow
Bayern Munich could hijack Newcastle United's deal for Nicolas Jackson, according to the Mail.
Eddie Howe's side are reportedly looking towards the Chelsea striker after seemingly missing out on RB Leipzig star Benjamin Sesko to Premier League rivals Manchester United.
And their pursuit of Jackson may also end in frustration.
"Newcastle's nightmare transfer window could get even worse after Bayern Munich reportedly made an enquiry for Nicolas Jackson," reads the article.
"Chelsea striker Jackson, 24, appeared to be next on the list to be targeted by manager Eddie Howe but even that move is at risk.
"Sky Germany has claimed that Bayern Munich have made an enquiry to sign the Senegal international.
"The Bundesliga champions are said to have been informed of the conditions of signing Jackson.
"This includes his current status at Stamford Bridge and his price tag."

Isak remains priority for Liverpool
Alexander Isak remains Liverpool's leading target this summer, according to The Times.
Newcastle have turned down a £110 million bid for the Sweden international - but they could reignite their interest as Darwin Nunez closes in on a move to Al Hilal.
"Liverpool will look to sign another attacker after Darwin Nunez agreed to a £46 million move to Al-Hilal - with Newcastle United’s Alexander Isak still their priority," states the outlet.
"There remain obvious obstacles in a deal for Isak, however, not least whether Newcastle will allow him to leave given their struggle to recruit players and also what fee they would ask.
"Liverpool had a £110 million bid for the Sweden international immediately rejected last Friday and subsequently stepped back, as opposed to walking away, from their interest in the player."
Arsenal could turn to Lookman
Arsenal are "closely monitoring" Ademola Lookman’s situation at Atalanta, claims The Sun.
The former Everton forward has reportedly skipped training this week as he looks to push through an exit from the Bergamo club.
The Gunners are linked with Eberechi Eze but could turn to Lookman should they fail in their bid to land the Crystal Palace star.
"But they have competition – Inter Milan have had two bids rejected for the 27-year-old with Atalanta insisting they will not sell to another Serie A club," writes the outlet.
"Inter tried their hand with a latest bid of around £40m, but Atalanta are targeting £45m at least to allow him to leave.
"Napoli and Atletico Madrid are also keen.
"SunSport understands Arsenal are keeping tabs on the player’s future should they miss out on other targets, including Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze."

Chelsea & Man Utd at odds over Garnacho price
Chelsea and Manchester United are at odds over the price of Alejandro Garnacho.
The Blues are favourites to sign the Argentina international, but a report in the Mail claims they value him at around £30m while United want £10m more.
"Chelsea have opened initial talks with Manchester United regarding a deal for Alejandro Garnacho," reads the article.
"As reported by The Athletic, Garnacho is keen on a move to Stamford Bridge but there is currently a gap between United and Chelsea's valuation of the player.
"United are seeking in excess of £40m for the Argentina international.
"However, The Blues currently value Garnacho at around £30m.
"Chelsea feel that the price for Garnacho will drop if United secure the signing of RB Leipzig forward Benjamin Sesko."
