Alonso ‘would sell anyone but Mbappe’ to sign Yildiz

According to football agent Giovanni Branchini, Real Madrid boss Xabi Alonso wants Los Blancos to sign Juventus’ Turkish attacker Kenan Yildiz.
The 20-year-old has become one of the most sought-after players in world football after netting 12 goals and registering nine assists for the Old Lady in a breakout campaign last term.
Speaking to Italian outlet TuttoMercatoWeb, Branchini claimed that Alonso was willing to sell any of his players but Kylian Mbappe to facilitate a move for Yildiz.
"Xabi Alonso wants Yildiz at Real Madrid," Branchini said. "Xabi is willing to let anyone go to sign him, except Mbappe.
"Juventus is currently asking for €100 million (£87m) but everyone does that for everyone, so you find someone who will give it to you.
"Of course, then there's the case of Nico Williams, who the whole world wants, but he renews with Athletic and stays there. Yildiz was a clear request [from Alonso] to the owners, he likes him a lot."

Man Utd target Diomande and Sancet

According to Fichajes, Manchester United have allocated €120m (£104m) to sign Sporting CP’s Ousmane Diomande and Athletic Club's Oihan Sancet.
The former, a centre-back, thrived in Ruben Amorim’s 3-4-3 formation at Sporting, while Sancet is one of Spain’s most highly rated attacking midfielders, having scored 17 times and registered three assists in his 36 appearances for Athletic last term.
Fichajes’ report adds: "With a budget of approximately €120m, Manchester United have the opportunity to make signings that will strengthen key areas of its squad.
"The arrival of Diomande and Sancet would not only strengthen the defence and midfield, but would also send a clear message of ambition and determination in the transfer market.
"Competition for both players is fierce, with clubs like Arsenal and Liverpool also interested in Diomande, and Newcastle United showing interest in Sancet.
"However, the appeal of playing for Manchester United and the possibility of working under Ruben Amorim could tip the balance in favour of the English club."

Arsenal battle Barcelona for French starlet

According to L’Equipe, both Arsenal and Barcelona are both keeping a watchful eye on Montpellier’s 15-year-old academy star Lacine Megnan-Pave.
Megnan-Pave, now playing with Montpellier’s U19s, netted 12 goals and registered a further 12 assists in 24 games for the U17s last term.
The France U16 international is yet to sign professional terms with Montpellier, and amid the Ligue 2 outfit’s bleak financial situation, he could soon be on the move.

Werner on course for MLS

Former Chelsea and Tottenham attacker Timo Werner is weighing up a move to MLS in the winter window, with a transfer to a Los Angeles-based side potentially on the cards, according to SportBild.
The 29-year-old Germany international is playing a bit-part role at RB Leipzig after seeing a move to New York Red Bulls fall through this summer. However, the player is reportedly still keen to move to the MLS.
As per Bild: "Werner’s goal [is] the US professional league MLS. The advantage of a winter transfer: The season in America begins in February, and Werner would have a full preseason with the team.
"But which franchise will it be? A move to sister club New York, which offered him a two-and-a-half-year contract this summer, appears to be off the table. Werner is said to be eyeing other major cities like Los Angeles instead."
