United want another defender
The Mirror reports that Manchester United are still looking for another defender to add to new signing Leny Yoro.
They are considering Bayern Munich centre-back Matthjis de Ligt or Everton’s Jarrand Branthwaite.
The paper writes: “Manchester United are still weighing up a move for either Matthijs de Ligt or Jarrad Branthwaite. Erik ten Hag has not ruled out signing another centre-back before the transfer window closes.
“Manchester United spent £59 million on signing 18-year-old defender Leny Yoro from Lille, but Ten Hag said there could be another addition before the August 30 deadline.
“United retain interest in Jarrad Branthwaite, but have refused to meet Everton's £70m valuation, with Bayern Munich's Matthijs De Ligt a more realistic target at £42m.
“United suffered more than 60 separate injuries last season, predominantly in defence, with Ten Hag admitting the expanded European schedule is likely to see more players sidelined with the extra fixture burden.”

Smith Rowe set for Fulham
Arsenal playmaker Emile Smith Rowe looks set to call time on his long association with the Gunners, reports the Daily Star.
The 23-year-old is on course to join fellow Premier League side Fulham, after interest from Crystal Palace.
The paper explains: “Emile Smith Rowe didn't get a chance to play for Arsenal one last time during their friendly clash with Bournemouth in Los Angeles.
“The 23-year-old forward is on the brink of a switch to fellow Premier League outfit Fulham, with a hefty £35 million price tag hanging over the move. This record-equalling sum would make him the priciest signing for the Cottagers and tie the record for the Gunners' biggest sale, currently held by Alex Oxlade Chamberlain's leap to Liverpool seven years back.
“Before he can don the Fulham shirt, Smith Rowe has got to tick off a medical and finalise contract terms. The West Londoners upped their game with a revised £35m bid that's £5m more than their initial offer, after whispers surfaced of Crystal Palace eyeing the young striker.”

Chelsea to sign Anselmino
Aaron Anselmino has long been linked with a transfer to Chelsea this summer, and it appears the teenager will soon be on his way to England.
A fee of £17 million is enough to land the Boca Juniors teenager, but he will go back on loan to the Argentinian club for at least the rest of 2024.
The Sun claims: “Chelsea are on the verge of signing Boca Juniors defender Aaron Anselmino in a £17 million transfer.
“The Blues have already signed five players so far this summer - three of which are teenagers. And they are set to add another to their ranks next week with Anselmino set to fly in for a medical.
“He will travel to England on Monday to complete the move. However, Anselmino will return to Boca Juniors on loan until January at the earliest.”

Premier League new boys keen on Doak
Liverpool youngster Ben Doak could go out on loan to another Premier League side.
The 18-year-old is linked by The Athletic with a spell at Leicester City or Southampton.
The website reports: “Ben Doak is attracting interest from a number of Premier League clubs as Liverpool consider sanctioning a loan move for him this season.
“Newly-promoted Leicester City and Southampton are among those keen to secure the services of the 18-year-old Scottish winger.
“Doak, who shone after coming off the bench in Friday’s 1-0 friendly win over Real Betis in Pittsburgh, is desperate to play regularly this season as he looks to put an injury-ravaged campaign behind him.”
