Monday’s Paper Round leads on a report in Spain claiming Harry Kane is eyeing a return to the Premier League, potentially this summer, with Liverpool viewed as the ideal candidates to sign the England captain. Elsewhere, there is no route back for Marcus Rashford at Manchester United, while Aston Villa defender Tyrone Mings is set for a board role on the organising team at Euro 2028.

Liverpool have emerged as the “ideal destination” for Harry Kane, with the England captain eyeing a return to the Premier League should he leave Bayern Munich, El Nacional in Spain reports.
The report claims Kane is seriously considering leaving Bayern in the summer, and intent on ending his career in England it could be Liverpool where the former Tottenham striker ends up.
El Nacional adds: “The player's personal desire to return to England could open the door to a difficult negotiation for the German club. Kane's contract runs until 2027, guaranteeing Bayern a solid contractual position, but the player's willingness could be decisive if Liverpool launch a firm push in the summer.
“Kane wants to finish his career at home, and the current Liverpool team offers the ideal setting: an ambitious project, an established manager, and real aspirations. A move that could alter the balance of power in the Premier League next season.”

No way back for Rashford at Man Utd
Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim will not offer Marcus Rashford a lifeline this summer, the Daily Star reports, with the club’s hierarchy eager to strike a deal with Aston Villa.
Rashford has earned an England recall since joining Villa on loan, and it could cost the Midlands club £60m to sign the forward.
The Star adds: “Rashford joined Villa on loan in January after finding himself ostracised by Amorim. The United manager was less than impressed with Rashford's attitude and axed him from the squad, while the striker made it clear he wanted a new challenge elsewhere.
“Since joining Villa, Rashford has rediscovered some of his best form and love for the game again. But however well he does in the Midlands, it appears there is no way back for Rashford at United.
“Amorim will look to sign a proven goalscorer this summer, and United hope Rashford continues to impress with Villa because it will increase his transfer value. Amorim previously said he allowed Rashford to leave United because the pair didn't see eye-to-eye.”
Mings’ Euro 2028 role
Aston Villa defender Tyrone Mings will be on the board of directors for Euro 2028, according to the Telegraph.
The centre-back is set to combine playing for Villa with organising the 2028 tournament, which is taking place across England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales.
Debbie Hewitt, the Football Association chair, is set to name her board this week with 32-year-old Mings expected to be included.
The Telegraph adds: “Chief executives from the FA of each host country will sit on the board but there are other roles including independent non-executive directors on the organising team for an event involving 51 matches in a month.
“Mings will be the most high-profile footballer to hold such an influential position while still playing. The last of his 18 caps for England came almost two years ago and he would be able to provide the perspective of an international player. When the finals start, he will be 35 years old and is expected to still be playing.
“The former Ipswich and Bournemouth defender has worked on charitable projects during his playing career, including supporting an initiative backed by Prince William to end homelessness, having experienced it himself as a child. He also has a football academy in Birmingham and is director of interior-design company KTM. His work saw him once named in Forbes’ “30 Under 30” list to recognise “'young visionaries'.”
