Chelsea make bid for Gittens

Chelsea have made an offer for Borussia Dortmund’s young forward Jamie Gittens.
The Athletic reports that Gittens is keen to join Chelsea in the summer transfer window.
The website claims: "Chelsea have submitted an official proposal to sign Jamie Gittens from Borussia Dortmund and have agreed a seven-year contract with the forward.
"The 20-year-old is keen on a move and only wants to join Chelsea, who hold a long-standing interest in the England Under-21 international.
"Dortmund view the potential sale of Gittens as key to a summer rebuild and believe the forward is not a natural fit for head coach Niko Kovac’s preferred system."

Arsenal set to clinch Kepa deal

Arsenal are poised to complete a ÂŁ5m transfer for Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga, who spent last season on loan at Bournemouth.
The Spaniard has a knockdown release clause after signing a new deal with Chelsea last summer.
The Mirror explains: "Arsenal are closing in on a cut-price £5m deal to sign goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga from Chelsea with the Spain international set to provide competition for compatriot David Raya.
"Kepa became the world's most expensive goalkeeper when he moved to Stamford Bridge in a ÂŁ72m deal seven seasons ago from Athletic Bilbao.
"But he spent last season on loan at Bournemouth, starting all but three Premier League games, after signing a new deal at his parent club that included a ÂŁ5m release clause and also saw his salary lowered significantly."

Palace identify Guehi replacement

With Newcastle United and Chelsea still keen on landing Marc Guehi from Crystal Palace, the Londoners have picked out his potential replacement.
The Daily Mail believes that Sporting CP defender Ousmane Diomande could be the man to step in.
The paper writes: "Crystal Palace have enquired after Sporting Lisbon's £40million-rated defender Ousmane Diomande and have held positive talks over a new contract for striker Jean-Philippe Mateta.
"Palace face competition for Diomande, 21, who would be viewed as a replacement for Marc Guehi.
"Meanwhile, Mateta, who has attracted attention from Manchester United, Aston Villa and Marseille, has held positive discussions over staying at Selhurst Park.
"Palace anticipate offers will come from Newcastle and Chelsea for Guehi.
"The Magpies made a plethora of failed bids for the England international last summer, whom Palace demanded ÂŁ70m for."

Frank leads the way for Spurs

Brentford manager Thomas Frank is believed to be the front-runner for the vacancy at Tottenham Hotspur after Ange Postecoglou was sacked.
The Telegraph believes that it would cost ÂŁ10 million to secure his release, meaning Marco Silva and Andoni Iraola remain in the frame.
The paper reports: "Sources believe that Thomas Frank is interested in taking over from Postecoglou and that he would ideally want to take a number of members of his Brentford backroom staff with him to Spurs.
"Frank is considered a leading candidate to succeed Postecoglou, although his exit fee – believed to be in the region of £10 million – may still provide a stumbling block and interest has existed in Fulham manager Marco Silva and his Bournemouth counterpart Andoni Iraola.
"Tottenham are said to be carefully assessing their options, with Levy aware of the expense involved in hiring Frank, and Lange perfectly positioned to assess his capabilities for the post."
