Ruben Amorim insists he does not know if Marcus Rashford has already played his last game for Manchester United.
Rashford revealed that he was "ready for a new challenge" during an interview with sports journalist Henry Winter last month and has not played for the club since.
The Red Devils manager spoke after his side had beaten Arsenal on penalties to progress to the fourth round of the FA Cup.
The England international did not feature during the clash at the Emirates, but Amorim suggested that Rashford could still have a route back into his squad.
"I don't know [if he has played his last game for Manchester United]," said Amorim. "We will see.
"He is a player for Manchester United, we will see, he has to work. He has to represent his club, and he loves his club, but I have to make choices. I have already spoken about how I make the choices.

"It is what it is, so let's continue, let's see the next game and, like I said, I have to make a selection."
Bruno Fernandes gave United the lead early in the second half, but Diogo Dalot was shown a second yellow and Gabriel Magalhaes equalised as the game swung dramatically in Arsenal's favour.
However, Martin Odegaard had a penalty saved before Kai Havertz was denied in the penalty shootout to cap a dramatic match and send United through.
Amorim can now look ahead to Thursday evening when his side face Southampton in the Premier League - live on TNT Sports and discovery+.
The Portuguese coach felt his side deserved to win against the Gunners.
"Thankfully the players were there, they fought," he added. "Sometimes what we talk about before the match is not tactical or technical, it's this.
"We have to compete no matter what, no matter what the situation we competed today. We deserved to win, Arsenal didn't deserve to lose but we deserved to win.
"The way we played, the way we fought was really tough from the beginning. We didn't have the ball too much but we had control without the ball."
