Manchester United to choose between Randal Kolo Muani and Nicolas Jackson as four Old Trafford outcasts may try to outlast Ruben Amorim - Paper Round

Manchester United have narrowed their striker options down to Nicolas Jackson and Randal Kolo Muani, while four unwanted players - including Alejandro Garnacho and Jadon Sancho - may gamble on staying at Old Trafford longer than Ruben Amorim. Elsewhere, Chelsea lead the race for an Ajax wonderkid, and two Premier League sides are in the hunt for a Juventus midfielder.

Man Utd keen on two strikers

With Ruben Amorim left watching Viktor Gyokeres and Hugo Ekitike head to other clubs, Manchester United have two striking targets left.
The Mirror believes that they are looking at Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson and Paris Saint-Germain forward Randal Kolo Muani.
The paper writes: "United retain an interest in Paris Saint-Germain striker Randal Kolo Muani, who was on their radar two years ago, before they eventually paid £72 million - way over his true market value - for [Rasmus] Hojlund.
"A swap deal involving winger Alejandro Garnacho – left out of the US tour squad after asking to leave – and Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson, both valued around £40m, is another option.
"Jackson has been pushed down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge following the arrival of [Liam] Delap from Ipswich and Joao Pedro from Brighton."

Remaining United outcasts may stay put

The Telegraph believes that Jadon Sancho, Antony, Tyrell Malacia and Alejandro Garnacho could stay at Manchester United.
Discussing the details of Marcus Rashford’s move to Barcelona, it is said that the remaining four could wait out Ruben Amorim’s tenure.
The paper states: "Rashford was willing to join pre-season training when players returned at the start of the month. Instead, he was told to stay away from Carrington, with new signing Matheus Cunha taking his No. 10 shirt.
"Rashford now has the opportunity to emulate other United players who have left the club. Several recent United outcasts have thrived elsewhere, with Jadon Sancho having reached a Champions League final with Borussia Dortmund, Scott McTominay winning Serie A with Napoli and Antony looking like a completely different player at Real Betis.
"The move shows that United have backed Amorim to get them out of their hole. Alejandro Garnacho, Antony, Sancho and Tyrell Malacia have also been frozen out, but could see if they outlast the manager. Rashford took a different gamble and it paid off handsomely."

Chelsea set to win Hato race

Chelsea are believed to be leading the race for in-demand Ajax defender Jorrel Hato.
The 19-year-old has attracted interest from both Arsenal and Liverpool, but reports in the Netherlands claim Chelsea have now made contact.
The Mail explains: "Chelsea are in talks to sign highly-rated Ajax defender Jorrel Hato, who is also of interest to Arsenal and Liverpool.
"Hato, 19, is one of the most promising Dutch players to have come through for some time and already has more than 100 games under his belt for the Amsterdam giants.
"And now his agent Humphry Nijman has confirmed to De Telegraaf that the wonderkid is about to be in talks with the Blues.
"When asked, he responded: 'The only thing I can say is that Jorrel is now going to talk to Chelsea.'"

Everton and West Ham to battle for Luiz

Aston Villa and Man Utd are both willing to pass up the chance to sign Juventus midfielder Douglas Luiz.
The Sun believes that leaves West Ham and Everton to fight it out to sign the 27-year-old midfielder.
The Sun claims: "Everton and West Ham are set to battle it out for Douglas Luiz as the player plots a return to the Premier League.
"The former Aston Villa star, 27, is top of David Moyes' list as he aims to land a marquee name ahead of The Toffees' move to their new stadium.
"But Graham Potter is also tracking the Juventus player, who has failed to settle in Italy and wants to quit the Serie A giants.
"Villa are believed to have an option to re-sign the player but aren’t interested in sanctioning a fairytale return, while talks on a swap which would see Jadon Sancho join Juve and Luiz head to Manchester United appear to have cooled."
