AC Milan 1 Inter 1 - Serie A result as Stefan de Vrij scores late to cancel out Tijani Reijnders goal

Stefan de Vrij’s goal deep into injury time secured a point for Inter in the Milan derby.

Milan’s own Dutchman Tijani Reijnders gave the home side the lead on the stroke of half-time, after Yann Sommer pushed Rafael Leao’s low cross into this path.

Inter hit the post on three occasions in the second half, through Yann Bisseck, Marcus Thuram and Denzel Dumfries, and also had three goals, correctly, ruled out so it could hardly be claimed a draw was not deserved.

With victory Inter could have gone level on points with Napoli, before the leaders faced Roma in the late game, but they remain second, four points clear of Atalanta, while Milan remain eighth.

A deep Bisseck cross from the right flank found Zelewski who chested the ball back into the six-yard box where de Vrij, like a striker, quickly shifted his feet before firing home with his left foot.

Thuram's deflected cross goes past Lautaro to Dumfries at the back post but Maignan races out of goal to block his effort.

Dumfries this time sees the ball come off the same post which Bisseck and Thuram have hit.
