Chris Coleman has been appointed as Fulham manager on a permanent basis, the Premiership club said on Thursday. The 32-year-old former central defender, who is the premier league's youngest manager, has been in temporary charge of the team since the departure of Frenchman Jean Tigana on April 17.
Under Coleman Fulham won three of their last five games to stave off the threat of relegation from the premier league.
The Welsh international's playing career was ended prematurely after he suffered serious leg injuries in a car crash in January 2001.
