Real Madrid have reached an agreement with Liverpool for the signing of Trent Alexander-Arnold, the Liga club have announced.
A club statement on Friday read: "Real Madrid C. F. and Liverpool FC have reached an agreement to sign Trent Alexander-Arnold for the next six seasons, from 1 June 2025 to 30 June 2031.
"The 26-year-old England international joins the club after winning nine trophies with Liverpool: Champions League (1), Club World Cup (1), Uefa Super Cup (1), Premier League (2), FA Cup (1), League Cup (2), and Community Shield (1).
"Alexander-Arnold, who has spent his entire playing career at Liverpool, has been a full international since 2018 with England, playing in two World Cups (2018 and 2022) and one European Championship (2024).
"On an individual level, he has been included once in the FIFA FIFPro World XI (2020), twice in the UEFA Champions League team of the season (2018/19 and 2021/22) and three times in the Premier League dream team (2018/19, 2019/20 and 2021/22). He was also voted the best young player of the Premier League 2019/20.
"Alexander-Arnold will be playing for Real Madrid in the Club World Cup, which will be held in the United States from 14 June."
This deal was made possible after FIFA approved an additional transfer window between June 1 and June 10, permitting clubs to sign new players before the competition begins on June 14.
The defender was originally scheduled to join Real on June 30, but would have resulted in him missing the club's three group-stage matches at the Club World Cup.
He will now officially join the 15-time European champions on Sunday, and will be available to play in their first match against Al Hilal on June 18.
This is also Xabi Alonso's first match in charge after replacing Carlo Ancelotti, and comes ahead of matches against Pachuca on June 22 and Red Bull Salzburg on June 26.

Alexander-Arnold's final record for The Reds reads at 354 appearances, 23 goals and 92 assists, after making his first-team debut for the club in October 2016.
The Premier League champions released a statement which read: "Liverpool will receive a fee for his services, with the deal to be concluded once the window opens on June 1.
"Alexander-Arnold leaves Liverpool FC with the club appreciative and grateful for his contribution to those successes."
Real's desire to bring Alexander-Arnold to the club early was hastened by the long-term absence of Dani Carvajal with an ACL injury.
Meanwhile, The Athletic reports that Lucas Vazquez is likely to leave this summer after not renewing his contract at the Bernabeu.
