Manchester United fan and the United Stand's Beth Tucker spoke to TNT Sports regarding the disappointment of the 2024/25 season.

"When the final ended and we knew Manchester United weren’t going to win the game I felt very hopeless. There was a lot of frustration because I know that, despite how poor this season has been I feel like the manager could have put together a better game plan to win us that game."

"But the season in general, it sums up what Manchester United has been, and that’s a team that’s sat in 16th place. Then I came away from [the final] and I thought, despite not being in Europe, which is huge for Manchester United - Manchester United should never have a season not in Europe - you can see now this team for what they are. That is a team that is 16th placed in the Premier League and needs massive, massive changes. We can't hide away from that and the board can’t hide away from that either."

Joe Cole fancies Aston Villa to win comfortably today at Old Trafford, whilst Peter Crouch also makes them favourites.

TNT Sports pundit Peter Crouch had his say on Manchester United and their disastrous campaign prior to kick off.

"Halfway through the season you think things can’t get any worse and they do. It’s the poorest Manchester United side I think I’ve seen in my lifetime. There’s a huge rebuilding project needed. They’ve spent so much money and I think they still owe money on players they brought in this summer, I don’t think they’ll have the money people think they’ll have next season."

It's a season-defining match for Unai Emery's Aston Villa today. Villa come into this clash in sixth place in the Premier League on 66 points, knowing that a victory at Old Trafford and a slip up from any of the teams above them would mean they would qualify for the UEFA Champions League.
