STRONG START FROM WOLVES
Wolves do well to win a corner which is hit into a dangerous area at that back stick but flies behind. The visitors keep pressure on from the resulting goal-kick though and win the ball back in the box. Only some overzealous pressing allows City a let-off as the ref spots a foul as yellow (or gold, depending on your opinion) shirts swarm forward.

OPENING FOR CUNHA
City give the ball away sloppily and hand it straight to Wolves’ danger man, who jinks towards the edge of the box and looks to line up a shot, but slices his attempt well wide.

DIAS HAS A CRACK
Wolves sit off City and so Dias looks to take advantage with a ping from range. It’s a decent effort but slides wide of the target.

RODRI CLOSING IN ON RETURN
Man City have been boosted by the return of key midfielder Rodri to training as he continues his recovery from a serious knee injury.
He could yet play an important part in the finale of the season for City, but the manager has stressed that he will only play when his recovery has reached the right stage to please the medical staff.
"We are really pleased Erling is back and Rodri is back in the training sessions," Guardiola said this week.
"The moment the physio and doctor say that Rodri can start to play minutes and after that he will start to play minutes. But the doctors have to tell me.
"It was a difficult injury. It was seven months to eleven months more or less the doctors said."

COULD CUNHA MOVE TO MANCHESTER?
Wolves star Matheus Cunha has been one of the star players across the Premier League this season and has played a big part in the club’s push up the table away from relegation trouble in the last couple of months. But it is widely reported that he is likely to move clubs in the summer, with Manchester United the most heavily linked.
Speaking in his latest column for TNT Sports, Paul Scholes has offered a note of caution about the potential transfer:

PLENTY TO PLAY FOR IN CITY’S SEASON
Manchester City are used to competing for the biggest trophies in the sport at this stage of a campaign, but their relatively disappointing season means that bids for Premier League and Champions League glory are long since over.
But that doesn’t mean the season is over, far from it, with an FA Cup final on the horizon as well as the big push to finish in the top five. And Pep Guardiola says it is crucial that the squad focuses on the league run rather than getting swept up in thoughts about the chance for silverware at Wembley later in the month.
"Now we can’t be distracted for anything else," said Guardiola.
It’s Wolves, Wolves and Wolves. The rest we have time to think about it and day by day, see in the training sessions, [and speak with the] the physios, doctors.
"Now, it’s a final every single game. We make an incredible effort. The last eight games unbeaten since Nottingham Forest away, we make just two draws against United and Brighton."

THE FORM TEAM IN THE COUNTRY VISIT THE ETIHAD
No team in the Premier League can match Wolves’ perfect record across the past two months. They are unbeaten in eight games and have won six on the bounce to come into this match as the form team in the Premier League. Arsenal are the only other side to be unbeaten in the league since the start of March, but the Gunners have drawn four of their seven matches in that time.
Prior to this impressive run of form it looked as if Wolves could be in threat of being sucked into the relegation scrap… but their run of wins means they have surged up the table instead, leapfrogging West Ham, Tottenham, Everton and Manchester United in the past few weeks to move up to 13th and withing four points of FA Cup finalists Crystal Palace in 12th.

THE RACE FOR THE EUROPEAN SPOTS CONTINUES THIS EVENING
The scrap to qualify for Europe is the big contest left in the Premier League this season, and Man City would move third with a win this evening, strengthening their hold on one of the remaining Champions League qualification spots.
It’s a five-way tussle for those UCL places, with just two points separating Newcastle, City. Chelsea and Nottingham Forest going into the latest matchday, with Aston Villa three points further back and Arsenal looking reasonably secure with a five-point cushion in second spot as things stand.
It’s unlikely that the Gunners will slip out of the top five at this stage, but is still a mathematical possibility; and City could move within three points of them with victory tonight against Wolves.
