REPORT: ARSENAL MOVE SECOND WITH ROUSING COMEBACK WIN
Arsenal scored twice inside four minutes as Mikel Arteta's side breathed new life into their Premier League title bid with a 2-1 comeback win over local rivals Tottenham in a frantic North London derby.
The home fans were stunned when Spurs captain Son Heung-min gave the visitors the lead against the run of play with a deflected volley in the 25th minute.
But Arsenal's pressure paid off late in the first half when Gabriel's header from Declan Rice's corner found the net via visiting forward Dominic Solanke, before Leandro Trossard smashed home the winner on 44 minutes from Martin Odegaard's pass.
It was no more than Arsenal deserved as they saw out the second half in relative comfort to close to four points behind leaders Liverpool, who have played one game fewer following their 1-1 draw at Nottingham Forest on Tuesday night.
It also eases the strain on Arteta following their 2-0 loss to Newcastle in the first leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final and a penalty shoot-out loss to Manchester United in the third round of the FA Cup.
Tottenham remain in 13th spot after their second league defeat of the season to Arsenal, but will perhaps feel aggrieved, given the award of the corner for Arsenal's equaliser appeared to be the wrong decision.

TROSSARD: DERBY WIN WAS FOR THE ARSENAL FANS
"This is what we needed," said the Arsenal and Belgium forward on TNT Sports. "We know we have to win these games against Spurs.
"You can see what it means to the fans, and they are buzzing. It is a great night for us.
"We want to win every game, especially these derby games. We were up for it today, and managed to take the three points.
"It is an amazing feeling when it ends up being the winner as well. I am just happy for everyone.
"The hardest thing in football is to put ball in the net. But I think that we could have scored more today as well. We're happy with the three points.
"We always want to put pressure on [the leaders Liverpool], but we can only look at ourselves.
"Try to win every game starting today. We need to look forward, take all the positives and enjoy this win."

WHERE DOES IT LEAVE THE FIERCE LONDON RIVALS?
The Gunners have lost only one North London derby in the Premier League at home since 1993. They extended that proud record with a 2-1 victory to move onto 43 points from 21 matches, with Liverpool, who drew 1-1 at Nottingham Forest on Tuesday, on 47 points having played one game fewer. Spurs remain in 13th spot with 24 points from 21 outings.

CHANGES ON THE WAY BEFORE AN ARSENAL CORNER
All seems to be going off here with the Gunners clinging to this lead. Double change for the home side with Rice and Lewis-Skelly off and Mikel Merino and Oleksandr Zinchenko on. Arsenal break brilliantly from the corner via the classy defensive work of Saliba.

Odegaard can't believe what he's doing as he ends up dragging his effort wide from the pass by Tierney. Great ball by the former Celtic man. But still 2-1.

MADDISON WITH A DRILLED CROSS FOR SPURS
Looking to pick out the head of Solanke in a busy Arsenal box, but Raya produces a spot of vintage Pat Jennings to clasp the ball with one hand. That is really superb keeping by Raya.

SPENCE ON THE DASH FOR SPURS
Loads of pace and menace from Spence as he dashes into the Arsenal box. Tracked well by Saliba before he goes to ground. But no foul or VAR interest for a possible penalty. Relief for Gunners.
