MAN CITY ARE WELL ON TOP AT PRESENT
The visitors have looked anxious at the back. Following Alisson's save they had countless opportunities to clear their lines and instil a bit of calm but failed to do so. City punished them and are firmly in charge.

MAN CITY CHANCE!
The hosts spring forward and should be ahead. De Bruyne feeds Jesus down the right and his low ball in is perfect for Sterling who somehow fails to fire past Alisson. It's a great save but you'd expect Sterling to score there.

FODEN KNOWS HIS STATS
Phil Foden has been looking ahead to today's top-of-the-table showdown and is well aware that Liverpool have only won one league game at the Etihad since October 2008.
"We’ve only lost once at home in 12 years in the Premier League and that is such a great record to have and we can take confidence from that," he said. "Being a City fan definitely helps. You know what the supporters want. Hopefully I can make them proud on Sunday. All they keep saying is ‘you better win, you better win!’. Hopefully we can get the job done."

THE BIGGEST RIVALRY IN ENGLISH FOOTBALL HISTORY?
Former Liverpool defender and Sky Sports pundit Jamie Carragher raised a few eyebrows this week with his bold claim about this match-up between Pep's Blues and Jurgen's Reds.
“Liverpool versus Manchester City has become the greatest, most intense and highest quality rivalry in English football history,” said Carragher. There is a uniqueness to it. This is the first time the two best teams in England are the two best teams in the world, led by the two greatest coaches of their generation...."
Do you agree? Eurosport's Pete Sharland took a closer look at the rivalry.

JOTA GETS THE NOD ALONGSIDE SALAH AND MANE
It is Diogo Jota who features as part of Liverpool's front three which means Luis Diaz drops to the bench where he will find Roberto Firmino sat next to him.
That is one of three changes from the 3-1 win in Benfica with Joel Matip and captain Jordan Henderson also being recalled.
