As it stands, West Ham will move above Spurs with a point against West Brom later this evening, shoving Mason's side down to seventh. That would mean a place in the Europa Conference League for a club that could have been apart of the European Super League...

Yellow card! Things really aren't going Spurs' way and now Hojbjerg goes into the book for a silly foul on Grealish, hurting himself in the process.

GOAL! Tottenham 1-2 Aston Villa (Ollie Watkins): Villa are ahead for the first time in the game - but what a mess from Spurs. The finger of blame will again be pointed at Reguilon whose attempted clearance is closed down by Traore. It falls into the path of Watkins and he makes no mistake as he slots it past Lloris.

Targett's free-kick delivery picks out the unmarked Konsa, but the Villa defender gets his header all wrong.

Tanganga goes in hard on Grealish and although the Spurs full-back wins the ball the referee signals for the free-kick. Villa have a chance to deliver from the left flank.

It was McGinn's knee causing the problem but he's had it looked at and sprints back onto the pitch. He's fine, much to the relief of all Villa and Scotland fans.
35'
McGinn, moments after blazing a shot over the bar, must go off for treatment after picking up a knock. Let's hope this isn't too serious - it doesn't seem to be.

Kane, desperate to grab this game by the scruff of the next, takes up a deep lying position and tries to pick out Son. It's cut out but McGinn loses the ball while trying to play out from the back. It's Mings to the rescue, however, as he blocks Hojbjerg's cross.

Picking up a position on the left, Kane gets away from his marker Hause but his cross is straight into the arms of Martinez. There was no one there to attack it.

Villa are doing their best to frustrate the home supporters. Bergwijn picks up a nice pass from Kane but runs into trouble on the edge of the penalty area.

Spurs are playing with a slow tempo. Everything is predictable. A vast improvement needed.

Grealish is being afforded far too much space, he aims a shot at goal but it's fails to trouble the Spurs goalkeeper.
25'
This is an important match for Spurs. A win would all-but secure their place in the top seven but anything else and West Ham and Everton will be breathing down their neck.
23'
Double Villa chance! Grealish slides the ball down the channel for El Ghazi who crosses, Dier makes an important block to deny Watkins' shot from point-blank range. Villa keep it alive, the ball is worked to McGinn who curls his effort just over the bar.

It was all looking so rosy for Spurs...

Villa have been the better side since Spurs broke the deadlock and that has been coming. You just didn't expect it to happen like that.

GOAL! Tottenham 1-1 Aston Villa (Reguilon own goal): Oh my, what a horror show! Reguilon slashes at the ball from Nakamba's cross and it ends up in the back of his own net. He has his head in his hands - and any wonder!

Shot! Watkins gets a shot away, drilling the ball across the face of goal, but Traore can't react quickly enough to turn it home.

El Ghazi picks out Grealish on the overlap but his cross for Watkins has too much height.
