Jose's eighth game at St James' Park tonight and he has yet to win there. Three draws and four defeats for him so far. Will it change here?

A shame no Andy Carroll for Newcastle today. He really was showing hints of his old form, but a groin injury keeps him out tonight and, most likely, against Brighton on Saturday too.

Tottenham have an unchanged line-up. Serge Aurier has opted to play after being given the option of compassionate leave following the tragic death of his brother on Monday.

Three changes for Newcastle. Danny Rose can't play against his parent club, while Jamaal Lascelles is injured and Javi Manquillo is dropped to the bench. Emil Krafth, DeAndre Yedlin and former Spur Nabil Bentaleb come into the starting XI.
