Ozil sets up Iwobi, who shoots well over Pickford's crossbar and drops to his knees in frustration.
Khazri does well down the right but his cross towards Watmore is again overhit.
Ozil clips the ball into the six-yard box, but there is no navy blue shirt waiting and the ball rolls out for a goal-kick.
Mustafi releases Ozil down the right hand side of the box, but the move breaks down.

Pienaar sends Coquelin flying with a wild challenge, and gets a yellow card, Sunderland's third of the afternoon. Coquelin is down and requires treatment.

O'Shea, on his 350th PL start, has injured his hamstring and has handed the captain's armband to Defoe. Rodwell has gone back into the back four.
CHANCE: Ozil finds himself one on one with Pickford after outpacing Kone but the young English goalkeeper stands up and manages to stop a pretty poor finish from the edge of the area.
Sunderland's afternoon in a microcosm - Jones looks up to find a pass, but there is no red and white shirt to give the ball to.
Watmore is fouled near the centre circle by Elneny, and Sunderland can fire it forward through van Aanholt, but Koscielny clears easily.
Sanchez crosses, but Kone gets in front of Oxlade-Chamberlain to clear. Khazri then gives the ball away, and gets a mouthful from Pickford for his sloppiness.
Rodwell floats a cross in that is plucked out of the air by Cech.
Didier Ndong goes through the back of Coquelin and Sunderland get their second yellow card of the match.

Gibbs, on the ground, is alert enough to stretch to cut out a Khazri pass on the edge of the box and Arsenal can clear.
Sanchez's free-kick is over the wall but four feet over the crossbar as well.
Ozil catches Khazri in possession, who turns and drags the German World Cup winner back and gets a deserved yellow card. Free-kick for Arsenal 25 yards out.

Khazri sends in a deep cross, which is overhit but Watmore recovers the ball. But Arsenal clear quickly, and Pienaar fouls tactically to stop the break from Ozil and Sanchez.
Pienaar finds van Aanholt, who overhits a long pass to give back possession to Arsenal.
Sanchez nicks the ball off van Aanholt in midfield, and Arsenal break quickly but Iwobi is unable to finish off the move.
