Baines delivers a teasing cross into the area but Funes Mori can't get on the end of it and the ball rolls out for a goal-kick.

Davies is held up by Gibson and Fabio finishes the job as he puts the ball out of play for Everton's first corner.

Boro have just about everyone behind the ball and there's no way through for Everton as Traore shows his defensive skills with a great tackle on Lookman inside the area.

Fabio has been solid in defence and now he does well to generate an attack for his side but his cross from the left is slightly behind Negredo and Everton can clear.

Middlesbrough have been the better side but for all of their possession they haven't been able to produce a shot on target. An all too familiar story for the league's lowest goal-scorers.

Great work initially from Lukaku as he breaks into the Boro penalty area from a wide area but then he slips, quite comically, just at the moment he tries to drill the ball across the face of goal.

Gibson watches the run of Lukaku all of the way and then nips in and steals the ball at the vital moment.

An intriguing battle of the full-backs continues between Fabio and Coleman as they both chase a loose ball in Boro's half but again the man in red wins the race.

OVER! The cross is delivered across the face of goal but the ball is travelling quickly and Stuani can't keep his effort down.

Boro continue to enjoy a bright spell in the game as De Roon his side a corner.

DANGER! Negredo does brilliantly to hold the ball up before playing through Forshaw but again the midfielder can't find a team mate, despite Stuani picking up a decent position to his left. What an opportunity for the hosts.

The ball breaks for Liverpool-born Forshaw in a central area but the midfielder can't pick out a team mate as he is dispossessed by a wonderful Funes Mori tackle.

Fabio does well to let the ball run out of play with a determined Coleman chasing.

Traore gets the fans excitement as he collects possession in a wide area but his cross is straight at Joel in the Everton sticks.

Coleman finds himself in an advanced position to roll a cross to the near post but it's hacked clear. Heavy sleet at the Riverside on a bitterly cold afternoon.

A cross is lumped into the Everton penalty area towards Stuani but Coleman is in the right place to deal with the danger.

Boro knock the ball long to Negredo who does well to win the header but there isn't another player in red close to him.

Traore, a real fan favourite here at the Riverside, catches his first glimpse of the ball as he runs at the Everton defence from centre midfield but he can't pick out a team mate, as is so often the case for the former Barcelona man.

Davies times his run perfectly to latch onto a through ball but Valdes is quick off his line to collect.
