It's all over at Upton Park and while the scoreline has finished goalless, it's hard to work out how. Stoke City and West Ham both wasted clear chances to earn three points that would have moved them to the brink of the top six, with Mauro Zarate striking the post, Marco Arnautovic hitting the crossbar and Mame Diouf and Marco van Ginkel missing gilt-edged chances. CHANCE: Almost one final twist as Butland flaps at a West Ham corner and Stoke City are twice forced to clear the ball off the line, but the visitors survive.

Mark Hughes cuts a frustrated figure in the technical area as Adam passes up an opportunity to curl a corner into the West Ham box, instead floating a ball to nowhere.

CHANCE: It's another massive opportunity for Diouf and another massive save from Adrian. Bojan slides the Senegal international through on goal but he again shoots at the feet of the West Ham goalkeeper, who blocks the ball wide.

CHANCE: Valencia hits a free-kick from a frankly absurd distance that dips and swerves and forces Butland into a parry over his crossbar.

Bojan peels out to the left as Stoke City rush forward in numbers but his cross is just too far ahead of Arnautovic.

Second change for West Ham as Nikica Jelavic come on in place of Michail Antonio.

CHANCE: West Ham roar back and Zarate darts past several Stoke City challenges from left to right before unleashing a fierce shot that crashes off the post with Butland beaten.

CHANCE: Best passing move of the match as Whelan and Johnson link up neatly before the right-back plays in Diouf, but the former Manchester United striker shoots straight into the body of Adrian and West Ham survive.

CHANCE: Zarate plays the ball into Cresswell and the left-back tries to catch out Butland by shooting rather than crossing, but the Stoke City goalkeeper adjusts in the air to parry it out for a corner.

Antonio spins away from Pieters but can't get away from a second Stoke City defender and appears frustrated not to win a free-kick.

Bojan sends Johnson galloping down the right flank and the former Liverpool man's cross is cleared impressively by Collins with Diouf poised.

The buzzing Zarate finds Noble in space 30 yards out bu the West Ham captain is falling over as a shoots and slices his effort over.

Carroll is a constant menace now. Zarate dinks another cross in from the left and only a committed Pieters challenge prevents the West Ham striker making a clean contact.

Stoke City are forced into their final change as Charlie Adam enters the fray in place of the injured Geoff Cameron.

CHANCE: Arnautovic's fierce 30-yard free-kick takes a wicked deflection off the back of Kouyate and loops onto the crossbar before bouncing out to Bojan, who volleys the rebound over.

Kouyate is shown a yellow card for catching Cameron with a late challenge.

Second change for Stoke City as Jonathan Walters replaces the booked Ibrahim Afellay.
