Full-time at St Mary's and Stoke City have deservedly claimed their first ever away victory over Southampton in the Premier League era, thanks to Bojan's first-half strike.

Pelle is penalised for handball and booked as he hoofs the ball away in frustration. He'll now miss Southampton's next match.

Tadic floats a free-kick in from the right and Butland claims confidently again.

There will be four minutes off added time at St Mary's, though more than a few Southampton fans are already heading for the exits.

CHANCE: Stoke City create another chance to kill the game as Arnautovic picks out Afellay from the left, but the former Barcelona man's shot is blocked on the line by Bertrand.

Stoke City respond with their final substitution as Mame Diouf replaces Jon Walters.

Final change for Southampton as Juanmi comes on in place of the bandaged Cedric.

PENALTY SHOUT: Wollscheid is fortunate not to see Lee Mason point at the spot after he catches Pelle with a stray foot as the Italian brings down a high ball.

CHANCE: Another Stoke City counter finds Afellay in space on the edge of the box and his low strike misses Stekelenburg's far post by inches. Another huge chance for the visitors to finish this.

Stoke City manage to work the ball from right to left outside the Southampton box and Adam lets fly with a fierce shot that curls just over Stekelenburg's crossbar.

Ward-Prowse whips in a dangerous free-kick that Fonte manages to flick on, but it evades everyone and Butland watches it wide.

Ward-Prowse picks up the first booking of the game for a late challenge on Adam.

CHANCE: Stoke City counter and a fantastic diagonal pass from Johnson sends Arnautovic racing through on goal, but the Austria international lashes a left-footed shot well over when he could have finished the game.

Southampton are having all of the ball and pressing hard but can't find any gaps in Stoke City's defensive wall.

Afellay does well to wriggle past Bertrand but his left-footed shot under pressure lacks power or accuracy.

Steven Davis is next to come off for Southampton to be replaced by James Ward-Prowse.

Bojan now leaves the field for Stoke City, with Geoff Cameron coming on.

Mane works some space on his left foot 25 yards out and shoots low through a crowd of bodies but it's an easy save for Butland.

Pelle chests the ball nicely into Mane on the right flank and the Senegal international crosses first time with no Southampton bodies in the box.

Long goes haring into the box and falls with Arnautovic in close attendance, but the penalty appeals are hopeful at best and Lee Mason waves them away.
