Two minutes of additional time - Martial feeds Lingard, who cuts inside and shoots. The ball takes a deflection off Bertrand, but the officials award a goal-kick.

Expect a 'chorus of boos' when referee Mike Jones blows his whistle. Forster hasn't had a shot to save in the first 43 minutes.

The first chants of 'attack, attack, attack'. Southampton break through Mane following Clasie's tackle, but Mane opts to pass back to the Dutchman rather than shoot and the chance is lost.

Tadic crosses but the impressive Smalling is across to head clear at full stretch and Lingard can take the ball up the line.

Martial tries to thread a ball through but Cedric blocks. Fellaini wins the ball back, but it is so ponderous from the home side. And did I hear a few boos there from the United supporters?

Mane breaks into the area but he is unable to control Tadic's pass and the chance is lost. Mane is going through a bit of a goal drought, with just one goal in his last 14 matches.

Looking at the replay, Herrera just takes out Long in the area. That could have been a penalty!

Southampton win a corner, but Bertrand's inswinging corner evades Long, who is bundled off the ball in the area by Herrera.

Smalling heads the ball clear of Long in the centre circle from a long clearance from Wanyama. Long is very isolated up front for Southampton.

Herrera rounds Wanyama, but then loses the ball to Bertrand. From the loose ball, Schneiderlin and Wanyama then come together in a crunching tackle.

Southampton win a free-kick down the left. Clasie's inswinger is towards Wanyama, but Smalling does well to hold off the former Celtic player at the far post.

United win the ball back and Rooney has space 35 yards out on the left-hand side of the area, but he shanks his effort and slices the ball wide.

Schneiderlin floats the ball towards Fellaini, but van Dijk is able to hold off Rooney and Southampton can clear.

It is very quiet at Old Trafford as well - Chris Smalling clears the ball long, and Van Dijk's backpass is poor, but Forster is across to clear.

A poor touch from Fellaini and the ball rolls out play - Rooney just gave up on that.

Bertrand's inswinging free-kick sails out play for a free-kick - that just about sums up this very poor game at Old Trafford.

Clasie is back on his feet. Mane finds Cedric 25 yards out on the right, but the Saints' full-back floats an effort well over the United crossbar.

Clasie is down and getting treatment in the centre circle - I think again he tangled with Fellaini. Though, this time, the Belgian seems blameless. Clasie went over on his ankle following a fair challenge.
