Liverpool break in numbers, but the move breaks down right on the edge of the Leicester's box just as it was looking to open up for the visitors.

My sentiment, but in rather more harsh language.

Milner tries to make amends for his earlier error, jinking inside and lining up a shot, but it's easily blocked. You can't fault Milner for effort, but sometimes he's lacking that little bit of something extra that really separates the top players.

Milner and Moreno combine to run the ball straight out of play when under very little pressure down the left. Neither have had a great start to the game.

Still the incessant and endless thud of the Leicester plastic clappers drowns out all efforts to get genuine atmosphere going at the King Power...

Milner skips into the box and is well-placed to pick out a team-mate, but his cut-back is blocked. Klopp throws up his arms in frustration.

The Liverpool centre-backs are certainly in for a torrid evening.

The pace of the game is ridiculous, which will only suit one team. (Clue: it's not the side in red)

Okazaki drags Lovren out of position and almost gets in behind, but he started his run slightly too early and the flag is up.

The flag is up as a scramble in the Leicester box causes panic amongst the home fans. That's encouraging for Liverpool.

Vardy appeals for a free-kick as he looks to break in behind the Liverpool centre-backs, but there's nothing doing for the England striker.

Mignolet produces a brilliant save to deny Okazaki's close-range header. It was great work by Vardy to create the chance and top quality from the Liverpool keeper, but Okazaki should have scored.

Huth goes through the back of Lallana and gives away a free-kick in a dangerous area, but the delivery isn't the best and Leicester clear with ease.

Mahrez lines up another shot, but he's put under pressure and fails to make a good contact with the ball. It will be a big worry for Klopp how much space his side are allowing Leicester in that area between midfield and defence.

Can attempts a speculative effort in Liverpool's first forward foray, but his shot slides high and wide.

It's a bright start from the hosts and Mahrez has an early sighter as he darts infield from his right wing position and curls a shot just wide of the far post.

Leicester City get the game underway, kitted out in their all-blue strip. Liverpool are in their traditional all-red kit.

There's a big fanfare as the players emerge from the tunnel. Literally a fanfare, courtesy of the Leicester City bugler. (Is it Bugler? Bugle player? It's not something I've ever had to write before if I'm honest). The only thing threatening to drown out the man on the brass is the noise from those plastic clapper things - the only negative to come from the rise of Leicester.
