Applause rings around the King Power as the half-time whistle goes. It's been an evenly-matched first 45, with Leicester having the two best chances (if you can call a Mahrez shot from 25 yards a 'chance') and Liverpool looking much-improved from recent showings. Join us after the interval for second half commentary.
    44'
Can sees a shot from distance blocked and Leicester break, but the counter-attack lacks precision and back come the visitors. Liverpool are on top as the clock ticks over into first-half stoppage time.
    43'
Liverpool have held their own in midfield tonight, but lack that cutting edge that the hosts have shown. Maybe Benteke could change that after the break?
    41'
The pace of Leicester has caused the Liverpool defence problems at times, but generally this has been a much more solid display than the Norwich game. Mignolet has been called upon on a couple of occasions to keep the score at 0-0, but Klopp will be reasonably happy as the game heads towards half-time.

Moreno finds himself in acres of space on the left side of the box and has four players up in support, but he goes for goal from a ridiculous angle and slices it horribly high and wide. That was not intelligent football from the full-back.

    36'
Mignolet spills the ball under little pressure in the box and is fortunate that there's nobody on hand for Leicester to take advantage. The keeper waves his arms around in disgust that a foul wasn't given, but there was no foul and the ref got it spot on.
    35'
Both teams look dangerous on the break tonight, but neither are composed on the ball and it's making for an end-to-end match that's lacking in quality but high on energy.

Mahrez curls a fizzing shot towards the top corner from distance, but he is denied by a brilliant Mignolet save. That's the second top stop by the Liverpool keeper tonight.
    32'
Liverpool earn a corner, but again the delivery from Milner is poor. This isn't undeserved Milner-bashing, I should add. I'm a fan of his, but he has his limitations at the best of times and is not on his game today.
    31'
Right, back to the action - which conveniently was pretty slow during that clapper-based detour. Mahrez slams a free-kick into the wall after good work by Okazaki.
    30'
I'm clearly not alone in my view on the matter. Leicester fans, sort it out please.

Please bear with me while I take a brief break from describing the action to bring up those plastic clappers again. Leicester, what are you thinking!? It's a horrible noise, creates a hugely irritating atmosphere and should have no place in the game.
    25'
Fuchs goes for goal from the free-kick, which is optimistic at best and the ball trickles harmlessly through to Mignolet.
    24'
Vardy's pace is too much for Liverpool to handle and he wins his side a free-kick in a dangerous area.
    23'
Simpson tries his luck from the edge of the box, but his effort is blocked and Liverpool clear. Neither side have been able to take control of the game so far, with both showing flashes of quality but not sustained dominance.
    21'
Liverpool break in numbers, but the move breaks down right on the edge of the Leicester's box just as it was looking to open up for the visitors.
