Welcome to West Brom versus Southampton at The Hawthorns. At the end of 2014 most people would have predicted an away win in this fixture but with the Baggies' predictable bounce under Tony Pulis and Southampton's small squad looking weary, it now seems a very even contest. A win for West Brom could send them seven points clear of the relegation zone, while Southampton can reclaim a place in the top four with a win.

F-T! West Brom 1-0 Southampton. Saido Berahino's goal after just 72 seconds settles this game and the home fans are delighted. It's becoming a worrying trend of flat performances from Southampton, who stay fifth, while West Brom go a massive eight points clear of the penalty area.

Elia smashes over on the half-volley from wide on the left and the home fans can now see the finishing line.

West Brom make their final change, with Chris Baird on for the injured Ideye.
86'
This is a concern for West Brom as Brown Ideye limps towards the touchline. With Berahino already off injured, could the Baggies be without both of their front two for a lengthy period?
85'
It is not happening for Pelle. Schneiderlin nods the ball over the West Brom defence for the Italian, who makes very little contact with the ball as it drops down over his shoulder. He was under pressure from Dawson but still should have done much better.
84'
Lescott misses the ball as he attempts to clear, momentarily allowing Long to claim possession in the area. The England defender recovers well, though, winning back the ball before the himne side clear.
82'
Yacob has to be alert to poke the ball away as Schneiderlin sets himself up for an acrobatic volley. More good defending from the Argentine, who has been impressive today.

Sessegnon beats Clyne brilliantly, not once but twice, before diving pathetically as soon as he gets into the area. He was in such a good position to cross but instead gets a booking. Stupid.
78'
It's West Brom who now have a freekick in a goof crossing position as Elia uses an arm on the back of Fletcher. Brunt drifts it to the far post where Dawson heads down only for Fletcher smashes over the bar. That would have been the three points sealed.
76'
West Brom fans want a penalty as Ideye goes down in the area chasing after a long ball from Foster. It looks more like the Nigerian fouls Fonte than anything.
75'
Schneiderlin strikes at goal again from the deadball, but Foster gathers easily at his right-hand post.

Shane Long, who spent more than two years at West Brom, comes on for Southampton's final change - replacing Tadic.

McAuley is overeager as he battles for a hanging ball with Pelle, conceding a freekick 35 yards from goal.

Meanwhile, Stephane Sessegnon replaces Morrison as West Brom add some freshness to their midfield.
71'
Davis puts the ball straight out of play with nobody near him. Southampton are officially struggling.
70'
Just to emphasise that it wasn't a foul, play restarts with a drop-ball.
68'
Yacob is furious after receiving a blow to the head from Pelle. There is not too much contact as they both leapt for the ball and Yacob will probably survive, for now at least.
