Everton are really struggling to keep control of the ball here. The fans sound restless when Besic heads it straight to Barton under no pressure.

Hoilett is down injured after a 50-50 with Jagielka. Looks like the follow through caught Hoilett on the top of the foot. A painful one but no malice.

Everton attempt an attack down the left with Naismith but QPR double up on him and he is forced to go backwards again.

CHANCE! The corner goes to the far post and is cleared by Distin but Fer is there on the edge but his half volley sails just over.

Free kick to QPR on the left wing. Vargas swings it in to the box where Dunne is rushing to get a touch but Besic gets enough on it for it to go for a corner.

QPr are just starting to play there and knocked the ball about in triangles in the middle but a loose touch from Mutch allows Baines to dispossess him.

Scrappy start to the game here. Neither team with much control over the ball just yet.

Jagielka chips the ball up to Naismith but he can only chest the ball backwards and Everton have to start again.

Good pressure from Hoilett on Coleman and the full back runs it out of play. A lovely run from the winger sees the ball drop to Vargas on the edge but his shot is blocked well by Distin.

Everton have started the stronger here and are dominating possession but QPR have good shape and Everton are yet to penetrate.

Everton are struggling at home and have won just two of their eight league home games this season. And an even worse omen for the Toffees tonight, they've beaten QPR just three times in 12 Premier League meetings. They'll be desperate to make it four.

QPR are without Charlie Austin after his red card last weekend and will be quite the loss as he is the only player in Harry Redknapp's squad to have score away from Loftus Road this season. Steven Caulker misses out after his altercation while out with friends last week led to him needing hospital treatment. He is fit but doesn't make the squad so in comes Onuoha to the starting line-up.

Everton defender John Stones makes a timely return to the squad after two months out with an ankle injury and takes his place on the bench. Naismith has passed a late fitness test and starts for the Toffees. Besic comes in for the suspended Gareth Barry.
