Villa are playing very high - Vlaar and his other two centre backs currently standing on the halfway line as United string a few passes together.
8'
Young's wayward pass is sent straight to Benteke. The Belgian, 30 yards from goal, feeds Agbonlahor, but the striker has no idea what to do with the ball and passes it into open space as United recover the ball.
7'
Villa appear to be playing with three at the back; Lowton and Cissokho playing as wing-backs. Bold from Lambert. It'll be interesting to see how long that lasts.
6'
Louis van Gaal looks on from the touchline. He once played at Villa Park, for Antwerp, knocking them out of the European Cup. Will it be a successful return today?
5'
Right from the off it's clear to see how Villa will approach this - allowing United possession and looking to counter. Almost as if they're the away side; something the Claret and Blues do on a regular basis.
4'
Rooney, who has an outstanding goalscoring record against Villa, gathers the ball in the centre circle and tries to open up Villa. His pass is intercepted.
3'
Ashley Young is jeered on his return to Villa, having spent four years at Villa Park. He swings in a delightful ball to Van Persie, but the Dutchman skews his tame shot wide.
2'
Delph drops short immediately and looks to engineer something during these opening stages. He's pushed further and further back, though, eventually conceing possesion.

Can United make it seven successive victories for the first time since 2011 (I think)?

Go on, pass the time of your existence by looking at some poor views from various stadia. It is as thrilling as it sounds.

Van Gaal doesn't want surprises.
Boo!
14:35
Keep up with all the latest rumours from around the world. Well, Europe.
14:30
Louis van Gaal: "When you win six times in a row the confidence is rising, but I'm still looking for a game that is more close to the perfect game. For me, the performance is very important. When you perform well, you win more and that's what I want to show to the fans. The players want to show that. The guarantee of wins is much bigger when we perform better...They (Villa) haven't lost so much. They draw, they win, and when they lose it's always by a one-goal difference. It shall be very difficult."
14:25
Paul Lambert: "Just because they've changed managers doesn't change my thinking of that football club. Chelsea and City have lost less games. But if United don't win it they will certainly have a big say in who does. If we win tomorrow it's good for us, that's the most important thing. We have to win for ourselves, it's got nothing to do with stopping United."
