Rooney tries an ambitious crossfield pass to Rafael but it sails out of play. West Ham give it away though and Welbeck is in but he plays it straight to Collins instead of the unmarked Rooney!

Rooney will take this free-kick from the edge of the D... Just over! Decent hit but Adrian had it covered all the way.
13'
After a decent move by United, Rooney is tripped by Morrison on the edge of the West Ham box. Again Jones started that with a driving run.
12'
Noble gives the ball away in midfield, Jones running it from halfway before dragging a shot too close to Adrian. Jones is the danger man so far - his driving runs from halfway are difficult to halt.
11'
An injury to Maiga this time after a collision with Jones. West Ham have a free-kick around 35 yards out... Sent to Diame but he is tackled by Rooney who tries to initiate a counter attack...
10'
Evra with a high ball into the box but it sails behind for a corner. United are, as you'd expect, taking the game to West Ham but lacking quality in the final ball.
9'
Jones goes on a surging run and he almost releases Welbeck but Collins and Demel deal with it. Probably should have shot.
7'
Evans seems to be okay - just a knock as he landed.
6'
Evans lands awkwardly as he contests a header with Maiga. Looks a nasty one on the hip.
5'
Free-kick to West Ham on the left. Noble looks set to swing it in...
4'
Januzaj overhits a centre into Adrian's arms. He's got on the ball a few times early on but his delivery has been hit and miss.
3'
Jarvis gives the ball away to Jones who immediately launches into a United attack. This could be a long afternoon for Big Sam's boys.

Early corner for United on the right... It causes all kinds of mischief and Cleverley fires in a low drive, surely a goal but what a stop by Adrian! Fantastic save! Great cross from Januzaj in the build-up.

Sam Allardyce: he knew it was going to be a difficult takeover period from Sir Alex. Old Trafford particularly is where he wants it to be the fortress that Sir Alex always seemed to make it and on occasion that hasn't seemed to happen for him. David will be planning as always to get the right team out to beat us and go on from there. Like everybody says, the transition cannot happen overnight and it's like every manager, there's a transitional period that you've got to try and get through."

David Moyes on Patrice Evra: "Patrice is one of the finest leaders around the dressing room that I have ever seen. He speaks well in everything he does and the way he speaks about the club is great. He is inspirational behind the scenes and reminds all the boys what their jobs and duties are. He knows we have to have a strong Manchester United. He demands. He doesn't think winning one game is it. He is saying no, we need to win all the games."
