KICK OFF!
14:55
If that's not a bad enough sign for West Ham, there are plenty of other awful omens too: Glen Johnson has scored in three of his last four Premier League appearances against his former club West Ham; the Hammers have not won away in the league at Anfield since 1963; and they've scored just six goals in their last 28 matches at Anfield.
14:50
Liverpool's strikeforce has had no such problems: Liverpool have already scored 5+ goals in five separate Premier League games under Brendan Rodgers (in less than a season and a half), something Rafa Benitez managed only six times in six seasons.
14:45
The real problem for West Ham, of course, is nothing to do with the men in black, but rather the strikers in claret-and-blue: Luis Suarez (13) has scored one more Premier League goal than West Ham have as a team (12) this season.
14:40
Sam Allardyce believes his men have been hard done by with refereeing blunders this season: "Our disappointment this season has rarely been with our performances but rather that too many times, it hasn’t been reflected in results. Bad decisions are inevitable but when they come, all you hope is that it doesn’t affect the result from your point of view. Unfortunately, as we saw at Hull and now Palace, the reverse is happening and it’s costing us."
14:35
Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers spoke before the game about the likelihood of Luis Suarez remaining at Anfield for the forseeable future. "We want him to stay and, with his contract running for two and a half years, I am sure there will be something between now and the end of the season to keep him here." Not sure why Suarez would sign a new deal when he could be a Golden Boot winner worth £200k a week by next summer, but you have to love Brendan's confidence.
14:30
Liverpool could potentially climb to second in the table with a win this afternoon, if results go their way. Man City are playing away at Southampton so that seems likely to help out the Reds, while Chelsea travel to Stoke.
14:25
The big news for Liverpool is that Allen and Coutinho keep their places in the starting line-up after impressive displays midweek - but Dan Agger isn't even in the matchday squad. Still no Andy Carroll even on the bench for West Ham, despite the big man being back in training.
