Long absolutely does Gabbidon with a turn but his next touch was heavy and Delaney stepped in. Long looks like he went over the top of the ball and caught the big centre half. Delaney is now down receiving treatment.

PUNCHEON WITH THE GOAL! HE can't stop scoring since that penalty miss. Bolasie outmuscles Rosenior on the right and finds Puncheon. his header is blocked by Chamakh but it falls nicely to him again and he smashed home with his left foot.

NO PENALTY! Looked obvious. Long beat Gabbidon in a footrace into the box. He gets ahead of the defender who clips him from behind. Looked stonewall but nothing given. Steve Bruce is furious.

Davies wins his header but Speroni collects easily. He slows it down and plays it long to Jerome but he can't win his header and the ball goes all the way back to Speroni.

Hull stylishl pass the ball out from the back. Elmohamady breaks on the right and his cross almost finds Jelavic who appears to be bundled over but the referee says no penalty. Furious start to this game.

Hull slow the game down with some patient passing at the back. They're struggling to get their most creative midfielder, Huddlestone, into the game.

Jerome is fouled by Davies on the left wing. Puncheon stands over it. He swings it to the far post where he finds the towering Jedinak. He gets above McGregor who was flapping but his touch just couldn't find the back of the net.

Bolasie takes about four touches to get the ball under control and wins a throw eventually.

Ward is robbed in the middle of the park. Livermore sprreads it to Elmohamady but he can't get past Puncheon who clears for a throw in. Livermore comes to collect the throw and his cross almost finds Jelavic in the middle who could have had a tap in.

First moment of excitement. A lovely cross from Elmohamady sees Jelavic challenge Speroni but the Argentine goalkeeper just got there first to punch clear.

Hull with their first spell of possession. They're not going anywehere but I'm sure they're glad just not to be chasing. A long ball to Long is cleared by Gabbidon but Hull have it back.

Jerome flicks a long ball in to the path of Bolasie but Rosenior covers well to clear. Palace starting fast here.

Palace with a free kick about 35 yards out. a beautifully worked set play sees Chamakh lay it off to Moxey down the line but Bruce gets back twell to block the cross.

Jelavic attempts a sort of shot cross pass thing. He cuts in from the left and as Long makes a run across the box he looks as though he shoots but he may have been looking fo rLong's run. Bit of nothing in the end and Speroni collects.

And it is Palace to kick us off going from left to right. Referee Roger East toots his whistle and the game gets underway.
