GOAL! West Brom 1-1 Arsenal! Terrible defending from Arsenal as Shane Long equalises. James Morrison is allowed to saunter through midfield and Long races onto a through-ball, exploiting hesitation from Szczesny to slot the ball past the keeper.

Just to reiterate, Spurs are 1-0 up at home to Fulham so Arsenal remain one point ahead of their rivals as things stand. Newcastle are a further three behind.

Confusion at a West Brom corner but Arsenal do manage to clear. They didn't defend that very well at all and Shane Long was causing problems.

A corner is cleared back out to Robin van Persie but the Dutchman produces a horrible attempt at a cross. Gervinho attempts to keep it in, but to no avail.

Stat from Infostrada: "Yossi Benayoun scored his fourth PL goal of the season for Arsenal – three have come away from home."

By the way, that from Fulop must rank as one of the worst mistakes of the season. What a time to do it. Spurs will be furious if they fail to get third by a goal.

Marc-Antoine Fortune goes up the other end and slams in a low effort from a tight angle that forces Szczesny into a fine save. West Brom fail to make anything of the corner.

GOAL! West Brom 0-1 Arsenal! Yossi Benayoun with the opener and it is a horrible, horrible mistake from Marton Fulop. The ball rolls to the edge of the box, Fulop gets himself in a tangle when realising he can't pick it up as he has strayed out of his box and steps over it instead, allowing Benayoun to knick the ball away and tap home!

Szczesny is called up on get rid of another beachball. He will be hoping he avoids a Jose Reina moment today. And news comes through from a goal at Tottenham: Emmanuel Adebayor has put them 1-0 up at home to Fulham.
2'
Coquelin gives away the ball in midfield but is brought down when drawing a foul. Meanwhile, Wojciech Szczesny is forced to clear inflatables off the pitch. There is definitely a party atmosphere for Hodgson's big goodbye.

Of course, the title can also be decided this afternoon, with Manchester City leading Manchester United on goal difference, while Bolton and QPR are battling to avoid filling the final relegation spot. There should be plenty of drama to keep us all excited,

It has been a long old season for Arsenal. Arsene Wenger's side started the season disastrously - an 8-2 loss at Manchester United the nadir - yet a fine run in the spring, combined with Tottenham's collapse - gave them what seemed an almost unassailable position in third. A poor run has left them exposed once again though, ensuring we could have a dramatic conclusion to proceedings.
14:40
Here are some pre-match stats to get you in the mood: "This will be Arsene Wenger’s 600th Premier League game as Arsenal manager (but Pat Rice's last as assistant manager). West Brom have lost just one of their last six Premier League games while Arsenal have won none of their last four. Van Persie is only the sixth different player to score 30+ goals in a Premier League season and needs two to become the top scorer ever in a 38-game campaign."
14:35
Just to underline Arsenal's situation: a win guarantees them third place and the final automatic qualification spot for the Champions League. Spurs, at home to Fulham, are just a point behind though and Newcastle, away at Everton, are two points behind. Arsenal could in theory still finish fifth and have to settle for a Europa League spot.
14:30
So Arsenal make three changes from the side that drew 3-3 at home to Norwich last weekend, with Andre Santos, Jenkinson and Francis Coquelin coming in for Kieran Gibbs, Sagna and Aaron Ramsey. The selection of Coquelin is interesting: he was doing very well earlier in the season before suffering an injury, though some of his better performances came as a makeshift right-back.

As well as settling Arsenal's league destiny, and whether they will be playing in the Champions League or the Europa League next season, today's match is also Roy Hodgson's final one as West Brom boss before he takes up his role with England.
14:15
The team news is filtering through and the big selection from Arsenal's point of view is Carl Jenkinson slotting in at right-back in place of the injured Bacary Sagna. Francis Coquelin also comes in for Aaron Ramsey in midfield. Full teams will be with you shortly...
