Owen Hargreaves scored in City's win over Birmingham in the Carling Cup, and City boss Roberto Mancini admits he could be in good enough shape to face Manchester United in the derby on October 23. "We have to be calm and think about his body. If everything is okay in the next two or three weeks, maybe he can play against Manchester United."

Victor Anichebe remains David Moyes's only injured squad member. The striker is still sidelined with a groin injury.

Fellow midfielder James Milner could be back after suffering a clash of heads two weeks ago, with Mancini saying he is "not 100 percent but he is okay". Defender Kolo Toure, who made his return this week in the League Cup, could play today or against Bayern.
