Rodwell seems to be tracking Silva all over the park. Obviously trying to keep him quiet as the one-two with Silva and Nasri breaks down.
11'
Everton will be happy with their start here. Keeping it tight and certainly do not look overawed as City keep the ball at the back through Kompany before Barry finds Richards.
10'
Nasri goes for goal from distance, but he flashes the shot wide of the target. Decent effort from the City midfielder if it lacked the direction.
9'
City finally starting to see more of the ball. Lovely play by Silva to deliver the cross, but Distin does well to get that one of out his defence.

Dzeko tries to bound beyond Howard, but his touch is heavy as Jagielka races back to make the clearance. First sign of City threatening.
7'
Baines scampers to the edge of the home box seconds later. Tries the shot, but is well closed down by Richards. Shot flies well wide of the goal. Goalkick to the home side.
6'
Richards handles the cross from Baines and the visitors have a free-kick out wide. Baines whips the ball into the area, but City clear the danger.
5'
Rodwell sizing up his options before firing a shot at goal from 30 yards out. Worth a bash, but always flying wide of the target. Everton starting well.
4'
Lescott out of the area with a header from Coleman's cross. Everton trying to get on the front foot in the opening moments.
3'
Nasri on the charge for City. Looking for Dzeko with the short pass, but Neville is on hand to mop up. A bright start to this one on a pitch like a bowling green.
2'
Distin immediately with a header out of the area after Clichy tried to throw the ball up towards Dzeko. Really vital for Everton to keep this tight early on.

"We've got a different Man City from what we had four years ago. I think it is going to be hard to beat them this year," says Everton boss Davd Moyes. "They're a good side with really good players, but when we cross that line it is 11 against 11."
12.30
Tim Cahill has not scored for Everton in 2011. His run of 14 league matches without a goal is his longest run without a goal in six years. In contrast to Aguero, he has failed to score from his 10 attempts on target this season.
12.25
Yaya Toure scored in both Premier League meetings with Everton last season. City have never beaten Everton in the Premier League after conceding the opening goal, losing 13 and drawing two of those 15 games.
12.20
A few facts to get you in the mood ahead of the action. Everton have won seven and lost one of their last eight Premier League games against Man City and the last four in a row. The Toffees have won their last four away games against Manchester City.
12.15
No Hargreaves then today for City, but still a very strong side with Carlos Tevez and Mario Balotelli on the bench. Everton collected three points from City just before Christmas last year with a 2-1 win. They will be hoping for more of the same from this one.

Owen Hargreaves scored in City's win over Birmingham in the Carling Cup, and City boss Roberto Mancini admits he could be in good enough shape to face Manchester United in the derby on October 23. "We have to be calm and think about his body. If everything is okay in the next two or three weeks, maybe he can play against Manchester United."
