Good afternoon and welcome to the LIVE commentary of Blackburn Rovers' first match of the season against Wolves at Ewood Park.

Dunn is booked for a fouls on Doyle on the half way line.

Pedersen is sent into the box with a lovely ball over the top. Pedersen's first touch wasn't great but would have allowed him to shoot. The midfielder opts to cross where the ball is cut out.

Doyle's bandage has slipped off his head. The cut is still bleeding and he has been sent to the touchline in order to get it reapplied.

Roberts does well on the right and looks to take on Berra. The defender recovers well to win a goal kick.

Salgado crosses from the right touchline. Johnson and Roberts challenge for the ball. The defender wins the battle and clears well.

Johnson cuts out a great ball and breaks down the field. The ball gets shifted across to the right where Doyle crosses. The centre-back latches onto the ball but heads over.

Hamley plays a lofted ball over the top for the chasing Roberts. The keeper is out but tries to usher the ball out for a goal kick. Roberts makes a challenge on the keeper but is unable to prevent the ball going out.

Jarvis is now down the left. he checks his run before crossing. Nzonzi does well to get a head on it. Pedersen is back to clear up.

Salgado loses the ball on the edge of the Wolves penalty area. The visitors look to attack but a few slack passes allow Blackburn to recover. Hunt then produces a lovely bit of skill on the edge of the area before shooting. Just over.

Hunt cuts in from the left and chooses to ignore Jarvis who has overlapped. The shot sails over.

Pedersen has a shotfrom 35 yards following the free kick. It flies miles over the bar. Dreadful, that!

The makeshift Blackburn defence looks vulnerable today. Wolves will look to take advantage whenever possible.

Jarvis' corner is met by Fletcher. The striker mis-times his jump and can't get a clean header.

Doyle does well to keep the ball in on the left touchline and wins a corner. Great play from the striker.

GOAL FOR WOLVES!! They've been the better side in the last few minutes since Blackburn scored the opening goal. Stearman sends Jarvis down the right. The winger crosses to the far post where Fletcher beats Salgado in the air to head into the top corner. Poor defending.

Stearman is booked for a rather unconvincing dive. He's expecting contact but doesn't get it. Shocking.

GOAL FOR BLACKBURN!! Formica scores on his Premier League debut. Roberts latches on to a long ball and holds off two challenges before sending Formica into the box. The striker shoots from the left and beats Hennessey.

Berra clears the free kick. It drops to the feet of Emerton, who is standing 30 yards from goal. The Australian volleys over.

Oooh. Poor tackle. Johnson is late on a tackle with Hoilett. It's his first foul but it's not great. The captain is booked.

Pedersen's resulting corner is poor. It's hit too long where Formica is unable to steer his header on target.

Dunn's corner goes through everybody in the sexi yard box before flicking off Johnson's head and going out for another corner.
