Good afternoon and welcome to the LIVE commentary of Blackburn Rovers' first match of the season against Wolves at Ewood Park.

Hoilett is released down the right by Dunn. Ward is on hand to make the challenge.

Formica breaks. The striker bares down on goal but Johnson is across to clear for a corner. Pedersen's set piece sails out for a goal kick.

Foley crosses from the right. It's a fantastic ball and beats Nzonzi. Fletcher opts not to head at goal and decides to take a touch in the box. It's cleared.

Hunt gets down the left and skips past two challenges before crossing. Hamley is across to clear for a corner.

Stearman is replaced by Foley. The defender was suffering from a lower-back problem.

GOAL FOR WOLVES!! The ball is failed to be cleared following the penalty. It falls to Ward on the edge of the penalty area. The defender volleys into the bottom corner.

MISSED PENALTY!! Doyle goes to Robinson's left. The keeper makes the save.

PENALTY TO WOLVES!! Fletcher breaks through the centre before giving Jarvis the ball on the left of the box. The winger takes on Salgado, who makes a rash challenge, conceding the penalty.

Emerton has been replaced by Ruben Rochina.

The first half comes to an end.

Wolves have got in some very good positions today - in between the left back and the left centre-half. Hunt looks to play the pass but Fletcher isn't on the same wavelength.

Blackburn look to be finishing the half the better team, but as I say that Dunn misplaces a pass which allows the visitors to break. Salgado is back to make the foul on Doyle.

Olsson takes on Stearman down the left. He turns the defender inside-out before crossing. The ball is hit too deep and saisl out for a throw-in.

Henry and Hunt are all over Formica following the corner. The striker doesn't make too much of it but it was clumsy.

Blackburn play the ball around on the edge fo the Wolves penalty area. It is shifted out wide to Emerton who crosses well. Johnson heads clear for a corner.

Wolves break following a long Pedersen throw. O'Hara goes down the left but struggles to find a pass. The midfielder goes down the line for Doyle but Nzonzi is on hand to clear.

Nzonzi, who has looked like a midfielder playing at centre back for most of the first half, defends well and ushers the ball out for a goal kick following a long ball from Berra.

Emerton goes into the book for pulling Fletcher back during a Wolves break.

Hennessey goes long for Doyle. Nzonzi heads away but only as far as O'Hara who is standing 25 yards from goal. The midfielder takes one touch before shooting. It flies wide.

Dunn is booked for a fouls on Doyle on the half way line.
