Clearance is made! Levante are finding space down the left side on the counter attack, with Bardhi playing the cross to the back post. But Lenglet was on hand to make the clearance on the stretch!

Campana... blocked! That was an opportunity for Levante. A spot of pinball in the middle led to the ball falling at the feet of Campana, but Griezmann and Lenglet combine to make the block.

Arthur commits a foul and just for a second the Barcelona midfielder had a worried look on his face. It wasn't bad enough to warrant a second booking, though. He must be careful.

Decision changed! That's a good use of VAR. The referee initially showed Suarez the yellow card for the foul, but it was a case of mistaken identity and the decision is changed. Arthur gets the booking.

Suarez is shown a yellow card for a foul. But, err, he was nowhere near the Levante player? It was Arthur who made the foul!

It's so tight in the middle of the Liga table right now that a win could propel Levante into contention for the European places. A defeat, however, would drop them closer to the relegation zone.

Questions have been asked of Griezmann recently. It's not that he is playing poorly, it's just that he doesn't look to have forged much of an understanding up front with Messi and Suarez.

As you would expect, Barcelona have taken a grip of this game early on. They are the ones dictating the play, although they have yet to create a clear-cut goalscoring chance.

Both Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid play later this evening and so this is an opportunity for Barcelona to apply the pressure on their rivals at the top of the Liga table.

Barcelona come forward on the attack, with Messi playing the quick pass into Arthur. However, the Brazilian midfielder left it for Griezmann... only for Griezmann to misread his intention.

Valverde has opted a midfield unit of Arthur, De Jong and Vidal. De Jong has settled very quickly into the Barcelona midfield unit. The Catalans aren't so reliant on Busquets now.

Indeed, Messi has been in exceptional form for Barcelona in recent weeks. Of course, that has become the norm over the past 10 years, but Barca really missed him in the opening few weeks.

This is a busy time of the year for teams in Spain as they build up to the winter break over Christmas and New Year, but Valverde hasn't rotated his team as much as many expected.

With Alba missing for Barcelona Valverde has decided to play Semedo at left back. It says a lot that Valverde has picked a right back to play left back ahead of Firpo, who was signed in the summer.

As well as Barcelona have played in recent weeks, there is still a sense that Griezmann is adapting to his new surroundings. At times the Frenchman has looked like a spare part.

So what sort of game will we witness this afternoon? Barcelona blew away Real Valladolid during the week. Will Levante find themselves in the firing line here? Or can they compete?
