There's an argument to be made that Griezmann has been Barcelona's best player this afternoon, but not because of what he has done in the final third. Because of his effort!

Barcelona might be winning this match, but questions will still be asked of Valverde if they don't pick things up between now and full time. Levante are right in this match!

Into the box! Levante built a good move with Campana getting the low cross into the near post, but Mayoral just couldn't get there before the ball ended up in the gloves of Ter Stegen.

Valverde looks down at his feet after another Barcelona move breaks down. The Catalans have been poor since Messi gave them the lead from the penalty spot in the first half.

Surely Valverde will throw on Ansu at some point? Barcelona need a spark from somewhere and the teenager would provide that. Levante are finding something here.

Barcelona seem to have regained control of things after a less-than-convincing start to the second half. They are knocking the ball around the back, taking the sting out of Levante.

This has been a very peculiar start to the second half by Barcelona. The Catalans are struggling to keep hold of the ball and Levante are just launching wave after wave of attack.

Barcelona weren't at their best in the opening 45 minutes, but they did just enough to take a lead into the break. Levante have come out with much more energy and intent, though.

Barcelona have been a little sloppy in the first couple minutes of this second half. Griezmann gave away the ball in his own half, but it didn't come to anything. A bit fortunate.

The second half is under way! Barcelona have a 1-0 lead over Levante in this La Liga fixture.

HALF TIME: Levante 0-1 Barcelona. Messi's penalty kick, won by Semedo, is the difference between the two teams at the break. Levante are largely holding their own against the Catalans.

There are now signs that Messi is starting to find his groove. He might have found the back of the net, but the Argentine has been relatively quiet in this first half. Ominous signs for Levante ahead of the second half.

There will be two minutes of stoppage time played at the end of the first half.

WIth that change it seems that Griezmann has gone to the right side with Perez on the left and Messi through the middle. Perez has made the most of his opportunities this season.
