Iniesta has been excellent so far this evening. Part of that is down to the fact Sevilla are giving him so much space around the edge of the box. He is being given so much freedom.

That goal had been coming for quite some time. Barcelona have been well on top at the start of this match. They probably should have had two or three before that opener from Alcacer.

There were a lot of questions over Alcacer's selection in this team before kick off, but he has just justified it with a goal. He has always been a finisher. That has never left the striker.

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL! Barcelona 1 (22 mins - Paco Alcacer) Sevilla 0. Well what do you know? Alcacer has opened the scoring for Barcelona! The touch back from Escudero was poor, with the striker latching on to it, sliding home a finish underneath Soria.

There seems to be sooooo much space for Barcelona to exploit on the edge of the Sevilla penalty area. The away side are inviting pressure right on top of themselves.

WORTH A SHOT! Sevilla's midfielders backed off and backed off until Iniesta found himself on the edge of the penalty area. The playmaker pinged his shot wide of the target, though.

Of course, Real Madrid play tomorrow, meaning that Barcelona can go ELEVEN points clear of their rivals and the champions at the top of the Liga table with a victory this evening.

There's a real zip to the way Barcelona are playing this evening. It's not just that they are controlling the ball, they are also pinging the passes around the final third, creating chances.

CHANCE FOR MURIEL! Umtiti gives the ball away inside his own half, allowing Muriel the chance to run through on goal, but he couldn't get the angle right on his shot and he drags his effort wide.

The Camp Nou has become a political arena for years now, but the stakes have been raised in recent weeks due to the situation in Catalonia and Spain. Tonight is no different.

Indeed, Alcacer is playing on the right side of the Barcelona frontline, which is strange to see. Is Valverde really saying that he is better in that position than someone like Denis?

For literally the first time in the match, Sevilla have the chance to string some passes together, but the high press from Barcelona is too much for them and they lose it once again.

Messi looks in the mood tonight. He wasn't in the best of form against Olympiacos during the week, as Barcelona drew 0-0, but Sevilla are struggling to keep hold of him early on.

This has been a dominant start from Barcelona. They have had four good chances on goal and Sevilla can hardly get on the ball. The only player of theirs I have mentioned is Soria.

SUAREZ SHOULD HAVE SCORED! The former Liverpool striker beats the offside trap to get on the end of a long ball, but he couldn't quite lob Soria in the Sevilla goal. An in form Suarez would have scored that.

OFF THE LINE! Now Busquets comes close to opening the scoring, sending a shot towards goal following a cut back from Messi, but a defender was back on the line to make the clearance.
